*grins* So we are talking about things that can be digested mostly plant parts, fabric, paper, starch, etc. wereas glass metals gems should be unaffected by such an attack since no living creature qould benifit from breaking these materials down, and would thus not have an enzyme that could do it....

[One of the traits that make gold, silver, and gemstones so valued is that they don't corrode (this is why the best electrical connectors are gold-plated, for example).

This is not completly correct, silver does indeed oxidise that is why you have to polish it, however as many other metals aluminum, copper etc. the oxidised film is stable around PH 7, which prevent further corrotion. However at other PH-vaues these oxidised films are not necesarily stable anymore, e.g. aluminum is only stable close PH 7 but away from this value the metal will corrode. In contrats to this iron doesn't form a stable oxide close to PH 7 but forms a stable oxide at low PH values. (as far as i remeber anyway, been a while since i had lectures in material science, so I am a bit rusty 8) ).

Most high level characters could just go and kill an emerald golem on their own if they felt like it, and if these golems would indeed drop emeralds people would start hunting them all the time... This means that if the marked shouldn't be flooded with emeralds the drop rate should be less than 1 out of 10.000 perhaps lower than 1 of 100.000.

But on this whole subject i agree with Filatus, creature drops are undermining the economy, making it difficult for crafters to sell the things they produce and to keep a resonable price level. I would prefer more gold drops and less drops with items that can be crafted.

I must agree with the others... 8)

Well the half giant has ECL 3 that must be considered a trade-off. But I agree it would be unlogical to give the half giantstwo handed weapons that could deal more damage and still allowing them to use these weapons in one hand.

CNR Suggestions/Discussion / Re: Bard Song Bonus?
« on: March 16, 2006, 10:49:50 pm »
I am sure that Elan from the order of the stick would have a fitting song for crafting... However I am afraid that it will have no effetct other than driving the crafter nuts and making faliure more probable... I am quite sure that Geir could have exactly the same effect on Skarp's carfting....

If I cannot come on the day in question my priorities are:

79,13,14,63,3,82,48,61,40,78,77,76,74,75

If none of these are availble I trust you to find some things that have high value and i can use for further sale.

CNR Suggestions/Discussion / Re: "weapon-shield"...
« on: March 13, 2006, 01:37:43 am »
*sighs* why am I the only one who likes my crazy ideas....

The idea is possible as far as I can tell. and given it some thought i have arrived at this:

"crazy irish mans shield"
exotic weapon
medium sized
1d6 bashing piercing 20 crit
1 ac deflection modifier
requires shield proficiency feat

Using deflection AC will ensure that there will be no benifit from having one in each hand, and the low damage will ensure that nobody would want to use it in their main hand. I am seing this as a style weapon more than anything but still you would have to be able to use a quite special weapon hence the exotic part.

yup, the nothern part of Germany was stolen from Denmark in 1864, which is a good thing, since you can buy cheap beers in the border shops. And if they hadn't stolen the land we would have a much longer drive to the cheap beers....

Yes the house is amazing, when I first entred I was simply speechless for a moment :)

can't wait to see it, 'cos that doesn't happen very often, so it must be real awesome... :D

*scratches his beard* It was bound to happen again at some point... Last time it happened he had gallstone...

But yes the house is truely great, Skarps only problem is to get that crazy Rolf to remove that alter he has placed in the house. We don't have space for a kitchen but an alter you can always find room for that...  :p

Trade and Market Hall / Re: Various Weapons
« on: March 07, 2006, 06:23:19 am »
// nope it is set so high in order to keep to economy in some sort of balance... most of the items I find on corpses i leave, simply because they have no real marked value, bronze weapons are an example of an item that has no marked value, compared to a iron weapon the bronze version is utterly useless...

If you have a item that you have no use for and can't find a buyer for, the only way out is to throw it in a trash can or sell it to the pawn shop however with the prices the pawn shop offer it is of no consequense what you choose.
