Wanted: Iron Willed Undead Hunters,

Do you have a passion for returning undead to the cycle?  Do you possess nerves of steel {base will save +7}?  Do you wish to be able to gaze in the face of death and laugh?

I am looking for two adventurers who meet the above criteria, for the task of gathering bodaks teeth.  For this quest I have created two undead-hunting kits that will protect the iron willed adventurer completely from the deadly gaze of the Bodak and allow him return these evil undead to the cycle.  

The complete undead hunters kit consists of.
Two Feldspar Rings Set in Platinum { + 2 to Death Saves, level 8 required }
One Feldspar Amulet Set In Platinum { + 2 to Death Saves, level 8 required }
Ten Vials of Holy Water
One Holy Water Trap, if required.
One Study Black Box
One Supervised Training Mission

In return for the equipment the selected undead hunters must provide 20 bodaks teeth in payment for each item of jewellery they are provided with.  That is 60 bodaks teeth if all 3 items of jewellery are needed.  In addition to the jewellery, on return of 60 bodaks teeth, I will provide the successful undead hunter with a second circle weapon enchantment, or first circle protective enchantment of their choice.  Or 8,000 coins in credit towards any other purchase.

Additional goods available for purchase by the undead hunter include:
Weapon Enchantment II, 7000 coins { 1d4 /elemental damage, lighting, fire, cold}
Weapon Enhancement II Silver, 8000 coins {1d4 racial damage to undead and were’s}
Holy Water 100 coins for 10 vials.
Holy Water Traps, 400 coins per trap, stops undead dead in their tracks, while stocks last.

CNR Suggestions/Discussion / Tinkering

Dear Layo-Players-GMs,

Tinkering is the craft of making small delicate items such as springs, gears and crystal rods.  In most fantasy settings when one thinks of a tinkerer, you imagine a nimble gnomish inventor bent over a desk with his magnification enhancing goggles.  The primary attributes required for this sort of work is dexterity and intelligence.  Hence the gnomish wizard/rogue is a good fit.  So far  Layonara fits this image.

However in Layonara all the best tinkers (with some notable exceptions) are mountains of hulking muscle with hands the size of the previously mentioned gnome body, brains inversely proportional to their size, and the fine motor skills of a sledgehammer.  The best tinkerers are Half-Giants and other strength based warriors.  Why is this?  Simply because the raw minerals needed to craft a single final product weighting less then a pound, is often hundreds of pounds in weight.  That is the mountains of sand and coal need to make a single crystal rod.  Of course the aforementioned Gnome could use his Ox, but he cannot compete with the raw carrying power of Half-Giant.  He could also hire a Half-Giant delivery man.  But this still leaves the unanswered question where does all that sand go in the process of making a crystal rod?

I would like to suggest that for future version of the crafting system that a mechanism other weight and volume be used, at least for end products that are not large and bulky.  This could be the introduction of rare mineral dusts, or other components, into the crystal rod tinkering process, to purify the glass.

The current craft system may be to tied into the local economy to change without upsetting players.  But it is quirky to watch the half-giant crystal-rod sales men in action

I expect that there will be other suggestions for possible 'purification' components to the manufacture.  My suggestions are:

Eg
Crystal Rod I, 4 glass ingots  and 1 coal + 1 greenstone dust.  - Green Crystal Rod
Crystal Rod II, 4 glass ingots and 1 coal + 1 feldspar dust - Blue Crystal Rod
Crystal Rod III, 4 glass ingot and 1 coal + 1 alexandrite dust - Red Crystal Rod
Crystal Rod IV, 4 standard sand and 1 coal + diamond dust - White Crystal Rod

Thus the volume of glass and coal is the same but the purfication component becomes harder to obtain.

Great Heros are approached by the Farstriders to assist in a quest for Yew.  It is rumoured that the elven ranger and woodsman Glenn Thendor has only as short time  left in the mortal plane.  His last goal in life is to craft a bow of Yew.  He has the skill and self belief, can the Farstriders find him some wood?

General Discussion / Epic Feats and Access to Epic Feats

I was browsing lore looking at the epic feats, doing some character planning.

What is the level requirement to have epic feats?  Is it a total of 20 levels?  Or 20 levels in the class you want to have access in?

For example when would a 15/5 figher wizard get access to epic feats?  
At level total level 21?
At level 20 in fighter to gain access to the fighter feats?

Are would the 21 figher / 5 wizard have access to the wizard epic feats when taking fighter levels?  Or does he need to take a wizard level?  Or does he have to have at least 20 wizard levels.

The reason I am asking is that my plan for my character was to have an even 20/20 split if/when he goes epic.  But I have a feeling that this means the character would never get any epic feats.  Or if he does get epic feats, he will never get the class-specific epic feats.

Fixed Bugs / Trouble With Lore - Public CD Key

I'm having trouble with my LORE Public CD Keys  Previously only one of my three characters, all on the same account, was visible through LORE.  Now  none are.  I would like to send messages via the falcon interface.  We have two PCs at home (laptop and desktop) both with separate neverwinter nights installations.  Lore Login: stragen Bioware Login: stragen1  Character Names: Jason Smith Jake Saltepetre Jin Lun Lee  Public CD Key for Laptop (from Key 1 of nwncdkey.ini) is   Public CD Key for Desktop is   Error message: Cannot send a message; you have no characters to send as!

Hunt Day, Junar 13 1397

I've lost me eye, me ship, me crew, and me wench.  But I count me blessings that I not fish food.  Me wench decided to play Jack Ketch cause I looked over a beauty elf lass.  She ran me through and cut me eye out for nery a reason.  But I count me blessings.  I've had a lucky escape and a second chance at life.  Plus that fiesty little elf lass Cat (Catalina Seregon) is fairly easy on the good eye.  I was saved a meeting with Davey Jones Locker by Cat.  Turns out she is a priestess of Mist which was a lucky break.

We washed up at the feet of some golden dragon.  Blimey he was a big one!  Asked me to save the world or some hornswaggle.  I told him I'd help him out and he sent me to Hlint.

Hlint is a landlocked town.  The landlubbers don't know their fore from their arf.  But their is a bit of work to be had.  Me beauty Cat and I skewered a blimey large bildge rat of the local tax lass.  

Me rapier work is a bit rusty since I lost the ship.  I'm Jack Tar till I brush up on me skills.

Leaving the Temple

I left the temple in the dark of night feeling the call of Aeridin, or maybe just loneliness at the death of my mentor Father Shay-Wan-Low.  I feel that I must seek out my heritage in the west.
Is my mother alive?  Do I have any family, these are questions I must know.  I am not ready to visit my fathers inheritance. [Ink blot]  Just thinking of what it must be fills me with anger.  I pray to Aeridin for strength. I have finished my basic clerical training, but I have not even begun my monastic training, as is the custom in our temple.  All I know is that I head west.  Perhaps I shall find my mothers family.

General Discussion / In Death Void, a completely black screen

Hello,

I have a character, my first and only one, in Death Void.  The screen is completely black.  This happened on Wednesday. The first time I played. Every time I log on it is still the same.  I read that I death takes 3 days.  It is Sat now.  Shouldn't something have happened by now?

I'm trying to be patient with this game by it is very boring being dead in a completly black screen.

The character's name is

Jin Lun Lee.

Is this normal?
