This may seem obvious but what I want out of Layonara and I think many agree with me is entertainment. Now that means different things to different people. To some it means levelling and getting more powerful to meet bigger challenges. To some the story is main thing. To some it's the relationships and character development that comes through RP. The problem is that it's not possible to please everyone and you will fail ifyou try. I think personally I get a bit of entertainment from each of these and although it's not easy a balance of these three would be the ideal. I have played a few MMORPGs and I think each one has it's strengths and weaknesses. I don't think there is a perfect game out there and I would say that Layo is great for story and relationships and a bit weak on the levelling and maintaining challenge. World of Warcraft is the best at maintaining the challenge level but the worst in terms of RP and Story. My biggest suggestion for the MMO would be to provide a more continuous challenge spectrum and include as many ways as possible other than just killing stuff to advance in capability, in both combat and non-combat skills, while maintaining the high RP and story standards.

With the teams limited time to make changes and the volunteer work on the MMO, is this really the issue that we want them to be working on when an alternate solution is just to have people travel a bit further to fine an available pawn shop?

At the risk of getting blasted, I will offer some empirical evidence to suggest that this is really not as big a problem as some may think and definitely not worth the team spending time on.
I thought the recent sever up time made it a good time to test my hypothesis that people are just not looking hard enough if pawning is really an issue. Since the server had been up for ten days straight without a reset I thought surely every pawn shop must be sold out by now and I needed to run around and refamiliarize myself with getting around from place to place anyway. Within a 1 hour period these were my findings.
The pawn shops in Hempstead, Vehl, and Prantz were sold out.
There were 2 large, 1 medium and 5 small pawn shops with money to spare to buy things up to the max item value of each size shop. All of these pawn shops were accessible without doing any fighting and I only looked at places in Mistone or within a portal or ship distance from Mistone. All of these pawn shops that still had money were accessible by characters of any level.
I hope that helps to determine whether or not any time is spent on this issue.
Get out there people! Explore and don't just wait for others to provide every convenience.

DIsturbing news has reached me about potential corruption in the Gallant Gauntlet. Daniella and I spoke to Ortheus and he gave me leave to investigate the confession made by one of Gallant's subordinates. If the accusation is true there are some serious issues that must be dealt with. I am remaining objective and hopeful that this is all a misunderstanding but something keeps the hairs on the back of my heck feeling a bit strange. Toran grant me wisdom and discretion in dealing with this situation.

I know of at least one case where during a CDQ a character contracted with one of the ship captains in Hempstead to use their ship on occasion for secret missions. It cost a lot of true and could only be used in conjunction with future CDQs but that was the arrangement I believe.

Finally, I have returned to civilization after so many years in the dark places. Toran's mission was necessary and vital but I missed my friends and in my absence dark forces have been gathering against the people of the lands.
I am glad to see my friends again. It is also a blessing to see that Toran has been working in the hearts of new followers who have now grown in power and capability so that there are many more of us to do his work.
I met with Daniella, a new Champion of Toran, and we immediately connected in a way that makes me feel that we will be fighting at each other's sides for many years to come. The bond we share in Toran is strong and I believe it will continue to grow.
Toran fill me with you power, compassion, and wrath against evil.

I thought the reason was that the magical aura was sort of a force field of negative energy drawn from the realm of the dead so someone was injured when they encountered it. I am not sure what the official explanation would be though.

No, Clarissa never had a "thing" for Arkolio except in his mind but she did hope that he would redeem himself and was amused by his persistence. And Raz is the only one that thinks it's a "date."
