So...the final leg of this tale, at least for tonight! Something surprising, perhaps even miraculous, happened last night. And my heart and spirit are buoyed with even more hope now. In Center a mysterious elven man was walking down the road, and when he saw me, he turned invisible. Intrigued, and not to be put off so swiftly, I ran up and turned invisible near where he had, just to make fun of him and his antics. And I spoke to him, or in his general direction, pretending to see him. He appeared then, and we spoke more. Eileanora was there too. It turns out he’s an Arcane Archer! So rare! And a Master of it, too! To prove it, he cast dozens of arrows at my feet and at Eilea’s feet! All in the blink of an eye! He said he’d teach me the secrets of the Arcane Archer, when I had crafted my “dream” bow. Ouch. I don’t even know how to wield a lumberjack’s axe! Chopping wood, shaping it, sanding it….not a craft that is easy for me to learn. Still, it gave me hope. Because even though I have learned some of the rudimentary principles of the Arcane Archer from my mother, I have not been able to put those teachings into successful practise. So….to have a guide would be excellent. So i struggled to learn the bowyer craft, twisting Tipsy’s arm to chop wood for me, and slaving in the sawdusty craft hall, and even forcing myself into the kitchen to learn to make sandpaper. Whew! And I was successful….well…..I made a hickory longbow. I even carved the word “dream” into it! My Dream Bow! *she laughs* Nothing to be too proud of, I know. But I carried on, knowing that my true “dream” bow would need to be far more fine than hickory. But last night something even more miraculous happened. Yesterday I was exploring Hempstead and found the Tower Academy. I inquired there as to its purpose, and left a letter for the mages. Then, by chance or fate or purpose, that very evening I met an elven man by the fire at Center. And lo, it turns out he is the Arcane Archer instructor of the Tower Academy! How is it, that I’ve met two masterful Arcane Archers by chance? Both in the space of a week? I won’t name him at this time, but we hunted together, talked for hours and hours, toured the Tower Academy (what a grand place!) and in the end, he agreed to teach me. I’m his apprentice! Honestly, I don’t believe it still, as I thought no one would want me as a pupil. Stop snickering you, it’s not funny! But really, I’m cantankerous and like my freedom. I’m a jokester, many are easily offended by me, when I mean no offense, well, usually. And many think I’m disrespectful, when I mean no disrespect. I just speak my mind, and make jokes, and I like to lighten up the conversation. At inopportune times, sometimes, but still, it’s harmless play that seems to rub many the wrong way. But miraculously this Masterful mage did not reject me, and agreed for me to be his pupil. We’ll see how odious or delightful it is, but so far, I’m optimistic! There! That’s what I had to share! To friend and acquaintance alike - and why I was pleased to gather you here with some xeenite wine and ale, and a roast boar! A celebration of my apprenticeship and admittance to the Tower Academy! Let’s hope I don't blow it, right? *laughs* What’s that? Why am I not naming him? Well….because he has many enemies, he said. Many powerful enemies. And I don’t want to be targeted by them. I’ve probably said too much already, haven’t I? Anyone with half a mind could discover who my mentor is now, couldn’t they? Blast! I did say too much. Well, I’ll have to live with it….or die with it. But I’ve said all I will, for now!

So what do I have to do to make a come back? Are my old characters still available? I have no idea what my CD key was LOL and I am guessing I will need a new copy of NWN. By the way, my main was Wren Thendor.

I fell off the wagon... quite literally, even. The call of the bottle has summoned me into its swirling depths... Downward into chaos, and heartbreak... Slowly, oblivion sets in. I am comfortably numb to the pressures of the world. As I sit, here, I contemplate... This isn't so bad... But I know there will be trouble come the morning when my acquaintance finds me... I may pay for it with my very tongue. Please, let me keep my tongue.

I was travelling through Center, when I met some folk... I told them of my problem in keeping away from the bottle, and one of them threatened to remove my tongue if they ever catch wind of me drinking.... maybe fear is a good motive. Since then, I have been sober for three days, the headaches and the chills are terrible. Dorand Help me!

Llast which reads as follows:* Sirs, I Hank Everdale Priest of Toran hereby report a scirmish my friend, Tipsy Oak, and I had with deep dwarves in the Silk Wood near the witch house. We were on our way to mine in the nearby cave and ran into at least five well trained deep dwarves. After loosing both our oxen to the deep dwellers we tactically retreated to Hlint. We were approached by some unsavory mercs who we begrudgingly allowed to help us track down the intruders. The deep dwarves were found and put down after a heated and well fought battle. I hereby request that you send a search party in the area to track down any stragglers, find where they broke surface and put out a warning to would be travelers to that area. Hey buddy, how have you been? Thanks for the update. Orth, now that's a name I haven't heard for a long while. G'day Orth. I'll jump in when I can. Some of the content is old here so I'm slowly catching up with things. Are we still doing character Bio's before creation? I'll start dreaming up a new Char. I'll also drag Hoodlum here as well. Hello Polak, Orth has taken over Layo and resurrected it! Jump in to see the changes. Many areas have been upgraded and look incredible. Level cap is now at 45 max (only server I know of in nwn does this and might go higher...). Rp rules from past are much relaxed and it's chill here. Folks gathering for adventure, fun, to challenge their characters and rp is atill top notch. So much more you have to discover youself. Jump in!

Hi all. I thought I'd try NWN EE and noticed my old favourite place Layo has made the migration. I was considering coming back and having a look around but wanted to check in first to see how things are. Are the same old rules in place from long ago or have the rules eased up on RP? I noticed some people running around over lvl 40 and thought that things must have eased up as it took me years to get to 20. My old char was Ramanon Vensk for those that may remember. Age, work and kids make it hard to invest much time for strict RP so I'm looking for a nice combination of action & RP in short bursts. Look forward to your feedback. Cheers, Polak.

*once again Feh comes in the shop, leaving a trail of mud and clay tracks and unloads in the Chests* Well that's it for the clay.. 1000 total... *exhales* Now to get toasty in the desert... *he deposits 551 lumps of clay for a total of 1000 and another 163 arabic gums for a total of 349* *Feh comes back hours later, sits on the steps of the shop and takes his boots off to get the sand out of them.* Man... it gets everywhere... *He puts them aside and wiggles his toes in the grass while looking up at the sky and sighs. After a few minutes he puts them back on and goes into the shop to drops in 144 glass ingots in the chests then heads back out toward the desert* //total of FP now available for collection off of feh is 41 points

New Bounty Available!/// Based on feedback, location will now determine the CR of the bounty. Mistone bounties are for lvls 1-10, Alindor for 11-20, Dregar for 21-30, Belinara for 31-40, and The Deep for 41+. Islands (Vanavar, Tilmar, Firesteep, etc.) are the special case in that bounties found on islands can be any CR, so there is a surprise factor for those. Cherry's description has been updated to include this information. ///
