World Leader Run Character Development Quests (WL run CDQ) for Multi-classing and for Prestige Classes.
In addition to the current system where a prestige class or multi-class may be taken thought the use of roleplay.
1) Resubmit your character to include the 2nd class for approval
2) Request and run a CDQ instead of a resubmission. The outcome of the CDQ will serve as an approval (or not in the case of failure) for multi-classing that character.
And additional method could be made available:
3) Request a WL run CDQ. The outcome of the CDQ will serve as an approval (or not in the case of failure) for multi-classing that character.
This third option also has the limits that
(a) the world leader must already have the class / prestige class
(b) be willing to train other character in that class and
(c) is limited to base, special and mundane classes [2].
The WL run CDQ should have time limits, a minimum of two sessions with the world leader, and a maximum of 6 hours of direct contact interaction with the World leader (so, as not to overly burden the World Leaders time). These contact interactions should be posted and run as player events in the calendar. Outside of this contact time the character would have to perform the tasks required by the world leader to earn their new class.
This will take some pressure off GMs to run CDQs. It will also facilitate and encourage interaction between world leaders and other characters. It will also be cool to have a new generation of characters trained by existing world leaders.
This would require an additional forum with a list of the world leaders willing to train characters, and the classes that they are willing to train them in, similar to the GM CDQ fourm [2].
