    Playing a Barbarian
    « on: September 19, 2006, 07:34:39 pm »
For my alternate I was thinking a Barbarian. Brabarians are usually very religious right? But they usually worship either False Gods, or the same gods as everyone else but with differant names. EX: the Icewindale Trilogy, the barbarians worship Tempos, they call him Tempus and think he is a completely differant entity.

I was thinking about submitting a follower of Toran or Vorax. However she would probibly have a differant understanding of her God becuase of the tribal isolation. Any help?

hmmmmmmm, I just had an idea: no diety

      why?

The Red Light Goblen Caves gave me this idea. The goblens there worship red flickering lights.

Since Barbarians have no divine ability, I figured they might do soemething simular, thus the reason they have no real spells. I know they have shamans, but if you noticed, Humanoid shamans use ARCANE spells. They probibly think they are divine power, but it is just pure magic.  Not to say that she will never someday learn of the Gods, and not to say ALL tribes worship falsely (The icewind dale tribes for instance.) But some tribes, like the red light Gobbies, are completely misguided.

I think I will do the same for this barbarian.

Bear in mind, NEXUS, that he's already said goodbye, and that he's not going to be playing on Layo.

If he has left it is irrelevant, but I play a barbarian of the Elksoul tribe and she worships the Great Elk who is the spirit animal of her tribe as well as Toran (complex RP reason for a barbarian following Toran but never mind).

It is the great Elk that is the really important one to her though. It was also really good for my CDQ to follow it. Dezza brought her beliefs into the game really well.
