A flurry of activity in Hurm

There was a flurry of activity in Hurm this morning as the Regnant himself, Saviar Morgensen and several of his high ranked Overseers arrived at the extensive Shipbuilding yards in Hurm for an inspection.

Saviar seemed in good spirits amidst the flurry caused by his impromptu visit and inspection. He seemed most interested in the projects about to be completed and spoke at length with several of the Master Builders about a potential new lucrative contract that he was working on.

The visit stretched for some time after the consultations as he inspected every section of the building yards and even some of the ships in the final stages of construction. As he left there was a buzz of excitement at the suggestion of a major contract coming their way.

Several months after the Regnants impromptu inspections a vertiable flotilla of ships have provided an honour guard out of the main harbour for the Regnant and three of the Blood Circle Captains ships of the Admiral Red Bear.

The Regnant in his own personal ship 'The Silver Sword of the Sea' and two close escort vessels left Hurm along with the Arcanbow, the Sea Tiger and the Reaper for protection. Dock Overseers told onlookers the flotilla was making their way to Lor and then to Stort for an inspection of the new Battle Academy build by the famous Father Mithril, Fenrir Thornaxe.

Reports indicate that the man known by reputation across Dreger as the Silken voice of Liwich, Lord Marcheisan Anovarias, who recently returned from negotiations in Rael, is with the Regnant for the journey.

So much time has passed, the war grinds on in Hilm, Saviar had returned over a year ago and Lord Marcheisan went straight to Trelania to take a seat on the Blackford War Council in order to support the ongoing campaign.

In that time the docks of Hurm, renowned throughout the world, have worked at almost full capacity to outfit a flottilla of new ships for the powerful mercantile guild known as The Raven Trade Guild.

Finally after almost a year an impressive array of new ships are being prepped for launch in an upcoming celebration where the main operaters of the famous Guild will come to Hurm personally to take charge of the ships. The launch has been delayed for a month until the ships contracted out by Saviar to several shipyards in Corsain can be brought to Hurm with the rest being build there. Of course the main flagship for the Guild still won't be ready for at least another eight to ten months. Already its massive frame can be seen rising above the dry dock in which it is being built and the high fences raised around the dock to keep unwanted people away from the construction.

Rumours are that the Raven Guild have emptied many of their deep coffers in this adventurous risk to expand their already mighty empire.

And with the news of the imminent completion of most of the ships a Red Line Shipping Company vessel pulls into Hurm's busy main harbour escorted by no less than two Blood Circle warships. An entire dock is cleared for its use and Hurm Silver Sword guards line the dock itself while chest after chest with the Raven Trade Guild symbol stamped clearly on them is unloaded and piled aboard many wagons and taken into Saviars Silver Swords compound.

Within weeks of the delivery another fleet of ships arrives, again bearing many and varied chests and artifacts drawn from the coffers of the Raven Trade Guild.

All for the payment of a fleet of the finest ships, owned by a single organisation, to sail the seas of Layonara, outside the Elven realm itself.

Within days of the arrival of the second treasure fleet as they ships have been called the Regnant announces in Hurm a special festival to be celebrated on the day of the launch of the first new Raven Trade Vessel. Every citizen of Hurm on the day will receive a gold coin token.

The excitement in the city builds towards the grand event where famous people within the nation and also outside Liwich will descend on the city for the celebration.
