A General of Blood

Word quickly spreads that Xandrial has been "defeated" and is no longer a General of Blood.

//Great job to the party that accomplished this! They are one of those rare parties that hit all of the right answers at the right time and got the best possible solution. Things are looking better for the world. :)

*As Michaelis returns on a vessel sailing back West for many weeks, he gazes into the rising dawn, overhearing sailors speak of the defeat of the great demon and strikes a slight smile, kissing his holy ankh*

Plenarius is overheard telling the tale to a local merchant:

...and as the great party stood over the defeated demon deep in the Abyss, a great portal opened revealing The General Xandrial.  He tore the amulet from the demon before any of the heroes could and the tormented souls captured by the now slain demon rose in command to Xandrial... he stood there for a moment with the amulet.

An eternity passed as the party held their breath waiting to see if he would keep up his end of the bargain then he looked to Lia and handed her the Amulet, now secure in our possession and Lia free, all of us free, Xandrial's dominion was now his plane.

Before anyone knew it, demon wars were breaking out all around them and Xandrial laughed maniacally as he sliced mighty demons like a hot knife to butter and without a second glance, the heroes dove for the portal...and to a free Xantril... or should I say a free Belinara?

*Jacchri is sitting in the Forest of Mist when he hears a big commotion under the animals*
*he stands up and walk over to the the gathered group of animals, listening to an owl tell of something that has happenend*
*Slowly a smile is appearing on his face as he hears of the Xandrial's fate*
This is great news. It seems the tides of war are turning.
*looks to all the animals and birds*
I will see you later friends, for now I must find the ones responsible and congratulate them on this success.

*While walking through the Forest, Luna stops suddenly and tilts her head slightly, listening to the plants and animals around her. She looks disbieiving for a moment before a radiant smile lights her face*

That is wonderful news!

The Great Oak is safer. The Balance has shifted closer to being right.

*smiling broadly and her step much lighter, Luna walks off, telling all she sees*

* Kobal is seen sitting in his undies at the docks of Lorindar. His feet dangling above the water, he is untiringly scrubbing a ½-inch crust of gore and black blood from his armour, shield and hammer. When asked what happened to him he replies: *

... killed a demon teh size of tha' tower over there. * removes a fang-like tooth from his shield and throws it into the waves * An' pro'lly a few hunner'd teh size of tha' house of there. Ye know, nauw tha' big ugly demon general can foinally go home an' rule 'is own peo... hmm... demons loike. An' tha' means it aint our problem anymore.

*grins, as he continues to clean his gear*

*The grinning assassin closed on Lan with murderous intent gleaming in his almost demonic eyes. "Your parents are dead Aeldanner, and all that remains is for me to finish the job." The assassin leapt forward with breathtaking speed, and his empty hands changed into vicious blades in mid air. He barrelled into Lan knocking him onto his back...and began licking his face with grim determination...Lan awoke to a world filled with hot wolf saliva. Once he had Lan's attention, Neus ecxitedly relayed the good news to him. The horror of the nightmare and annoyance at almost being drowned disappeared and a broard smile appeared on his face.*
