After a little while, a "parade" of artisans begins to move through the Vine and Dove until the right match is found. A rather flamboyantly humorous young artisan is takes up residence in the Vine and Dove, in part because of his reasonable rates and agreeable nature. He is often seen at the various functions at the Vine and Dove, though mostly during the early parts and then disappears in the evening (presumably to work).
