Dwarves girded for war on the March

Stories abound through many towns and cities on Mistone:

Several days ago as morning dawned over the port in Leilon a fleet of 8 merchant ships from the Bowmore trading company docked at Leilon. From their decks stomped well over a hundred dwarven men, women and children. Grim faced and heavily armoured the dwarves were met by several notable dwarves of high repute bringing with them numerous wagons full of supplies.

Observers of the event claim that a huge female dwarf wielding a massive axe led a small delegation of dwarves from the merchant ships to meet with those leading the wagons. One of those, Varka Cleaveson was met with a bear hug from the female dwarf and observers are sure they heard ribs cracking. Kobal Bluntaxe was also with the wagoneers along with the dwarven priest Vigg Belber. A brief meeting was held before the host formed up and marched out of Leilon on the road south through Lake Palden.

Later reports indicate a large host of grim faced heavily armoured and equipped dwarves marching past Blackford Castle and then past Fort Last. All attempts to approach the host were driven back by firm words from the leaders.

Last reports indicate the host moved into the Grey Peaks pausing momentarily to mow down several groups of ogres that stupidly thought they could stop them.

The only information gleaned from some sources is that these are the dwarves of the Crusher and Cleaver clan. Why they are here, by all appearances girded for war is still a mystery. However it is known that the Baron of Lar personally greeted the host of dwarves at his city gates and welcomed them into the city.

Those who met the host and might hold the answers; Varka Cleaveson, Vigg Belber and Kobal Bluntaxe were last seen leaving Port Hampshire by ship for Rilara.
