Leringard Mistite Temple damaged
« on: November 25, 2011, 05:12:32 pm »
Odd rumours are circulating about an event in Leringard overnight where it seems at first light the Mistite temple, the huge ship anchored at tthe back of the harbour had just disappeared.

The ship had been anchored in palce for as long as anyone can recall but at first light it was gone with nothing left behind to indicate where it had gone too.

By midday however the massive ship limped back into sight of the harbour and resumed its position albiet with a number of damaged sections. The worst being the front and rear of the ship where heavy hawsers had led down to huge sea anchors beneath the ship on the floor of the bay. These anchors had held the Mistite ship firm in many rough storms.

There were few aboard when the incident occured as many Mistites are curenttly scattered far and wide across the world. However early reports indicate that during the night something had risen beneath the ship and snapped the hawsers, each rope as thick as a mans neck, like they were woolen string then dragged the ship far out to sea leaving it to flounder.

The crew say that during the rest of the night something swam around them in the ocean, something far to big to be a whale, making odd noises and scary sounds that set their teeth on edge and made them fearful for their lives. The only Voice aboard, an elderly Mistite prayed for Mist herself to save them from their predicament.

When morning came either Mist was feeling benevolant or the creature had had enough of its fun and had swam away. From that point the crew had struggled to get the old ship moving again and limping towards Leringard.

In the taverns and bars of Leringard following the stories and jokes about Misites and their current plight with dragonkind around the world were coming thick and fast. Their current plight has made them the but of many jokes and bards are starting to have a field day reciting new poems about their seemingly current situation.
