Adder finished scribbling a note on a piece of parchment, folded it in half, and picked up a black tallow candle. Holding it over the edge of the document he let it drip onto the parchment to form a large blob of wax. He then pressed a silver skull-shaped signet ring into it and applied the final touches to the seal. Laying the missive flat on the desktop he whispered a few arcane words and made a couple of intricate gestures over it with his fingers, imbueing the material with the taint of the Dark One and a curse to be unleashed on anyone that did not open it during the witching hours.
Adder held the letter out towards the center of the desk where a small red devil with a forked tail materialized and took the document, wrapping fingers tipped with long obsidian nails around the edges. "Take this to the Morsus we have been assisting. Warn him it must be opened between midnight and dawn."
