*As the sawdust is swept away...*

*a tired working crew is seen leaving by the back entrance of the Freelancer. However one man stops who has a large plaque of wood. He sets down the plaque and his ladder, then climbs up. He removes the old sign from the front of the tavern, carefully climbs down and collects the new sign and hangs it from the hooks hanging off of the post. It is a bright sign with the depiction of a mug of ale and a cot. For those that can read it, the sign has "The Weary Traveler" scribed in flowing hand, spaced out above and below the depiction.

He checks it for quality and then climbs down and collects his remaining tools and pieces. A red head appears from the door way with a boy and three toddlers in tow and gives an approving nod as to him. She mentions softly that she will spread the word to the owners of the place and thanks him, passing over the last of their wages.

As the man leaves with the rest of his crew, she eyes the sign with mingled melancholy and relief. As she and the children reenter the doorway she speaks softly to them. A trace of what she says lingers over those who pass by about an ending of a legacy and the beginning of another.*
