    "Altar of Ice"
    « on: May 31, 2006, 05:08:41 pm »
(Carefully printed in gold ink on light blue parchment, this lyrical ode is pinned where two other poems had been recently)

    "Altar of Ice"

    Encased in Frost
    My Heart lies upon
    A distant Altar of Ice

Once pounding with Passion ... Yearning
To taste your sweet Lips of Nectar
To dance across our Hilltop of Flowers
To sing Harmony with Heaven's Spheres.

    Naive Frailty and furtive Friendship
    Have woven a Fabric of Failure;
    My Destiny unravels into Despair
My Soulstone cracks and crumbles to Dust
My Dreams tumble into the Depths of the Abyss
My Spirit pleads against frigid Silence for Redemption.

Open your Soul to our Memories
Lift my Heart from your Altar of Ice
Melt the Frost with your Caress of Pardon
Shatter this Prison of Ice with one Kiss of Forgiveness

    Let my Soul sing, again,
In your Arms among our Flowers
Where we shall share the Splendor of Us.

"Life is a paradise for those who love many things with a passion."

A darkly clad tiefling wanders over, glancing at all the *wanted* posters to get a feel for his next target. Curiously he reads the document on a whim. About half way through he stops.

Chuckling he states "Berk, you don't have the ssslightessst dark on the abyssss" as he takes notes on a local theif mentioned by Cronk.

*Ash checks the board after hearing some things from Rhynn about the latest poem*
"I do feel sorry for him.. oh gods.. can't believe I said that. Very good writer.. should be a paladin of Ilsare...too bad there isn't such a thing.."
