Great responsibility has been placed into the hands of those summoned by the Dragon. Although many among us have risen to this Calling in various ways, all of us, together as a group, must some how find a way to raise our mark. We must some how find a way to work together more effectively. The Enemy’s most recent inroads should make this unquestionably evident to each of you.
Nine weeks ago, a Peoples’ Assembly was convened to establish a council that would foster greater unity among the Summoned, both practically and in spirit. Such a Council of the Summoned would serve two fundamental purposes, both equally important.
One of these would be the collection and dissemination of information - anything seemingly relevant to our fundamental Calling. As a depot for such information, the council would enable us to more closely coordinate our various efforts. It would also serve to educate each of us about what is really going on in our realm - something that would benefit veterans and newcomers alike.
The second and equally crucial role of the Council would be symbolic. The Council of the Summoned would boldly stand as our joint affirmation that despite all of the many differences in goals and perspectives we may have as individuals, each of us has chosen to put these aside to stand together in the face of our common Enemy.
In this spirit, I am calling for a convening, once again, of the Peoples’ Assembly, to finish its work in forming the Council of the Summoned. Although completing this may take more than one meeting of the Assembly, I respectfully recommend that a provisional council of at least three members be organized prior to the adjournment of the next meeting. Among other things, the Provisional Authority should begin accepting and organizing information pursuant to the Council’s fundamental function. It should also notify the Mistone Alliance and all other allies that we have come together in this manner; in so doing it would establish with these groups and individuals the channels we will need to communicate and closely cooperate with them.
In closing, I ask that in the coming days prior to our meeting, each of you seriously consider how you intend to specifically contribute to our joint efforts. Each of us has unique gifts and strengths; my hope is that soon, we will find a way to put these to their utmost effect by working closely with one another.
