is goblinoidism contagious?
« on: November 06, 2012, 12:46:11 am »
I have recently noticed Argus is now Neutral Evil(15)

when i started i was Neutral Good(85, i think)

I am not sure what i did to become so bitter. I have slain about a dozen satyr's before being corrected on there role in the gloom woods, other than that i have crafted and slain thousands of goblins and kolbolds. Is there any explanation? a road to redemption? I swear i never used magic in Pratnz!

You kicked a puppy I saw it... then pushed an old lady down the stairs for her rent money. :P

Did you kill any neutral or common NPCs that you know of?  I can fix your alignment in game, but... should probably figure out why it happened first.

This seems quite odd indeed, but apparently something happened after Oct 3rd. and and 4th, that is when the change was made. This accrding to Lore. Did you do somethijng along the lines of Disecrating tombs,  the doctor quest in Vehl and such?

Hey Tom Bombadil.

Its seems to be quite odd what happened to you, but no worries, if was a mechanical thing it can be fixed since of course the alignment approved for Argus was not NE, so it has to be reverted to the original one, for this please look up for a GM, or poke one in the NWN Channel of IRC, in order to help you with that.

Regardless we'd like to know and if you could remember what happened during the time i posted below that may have caused this change, considering the questions that both Alatriel and I did, this in regards to investigate what happen and to help to prevent it to happen again.

Anyway, feel free to find a GM and point out to this thread please.

Any questions feel free to post.

Cheers.

i haven't killed any npc's i can think of.... ever.I did dig up a body or two in krandor. I was curious as i heard about some crazy doctor wanting bodies. i did not talk to him so i don't have the quest enabled and i think i left it there just examined it, their heavy!  i collect grave dirt sometimes but only about 20-30 in argus's lifetime. Around that time i think i mostly ran the Krandor crypt and red light and the long nights at ice cave.

I have no equipment effected by the shift so there is no technical urgency to fixing it for me, I can easily wait for a gm online and ask then. just have to avoid those overly serious Rofies and there "know it all" cantrips.

thanks

A sick thought occurs to me.  One of my commoners under the influence of flesh and magic riot spawn night may have not been morally neutralized when I made them hostile.  Everybody on my recent quests, please check your character sheets.  I thought I caught them all, but just to check, see if your alignments look particularly wonky.  I wanded many NPCs that night to be hostile and tried to keep them neutral so this wouldn't happen, but if any one of them didn't take, this might result in some shifting I had not intended.

I checked Rose.  She's the same as she was before.  Even though she wasn't with the main group, if they'd have killed a commoner, she would have gotten an evil point just for being in party, so I think your NPCs should have been fine.

for the record the leringard sewer prisoner bug would be the culprit. i shot those crazed prisoners bravely through the iron bars as they drooled and bit themselves in madness. Im good right..?

in fact, the enchanted arrow i stuck in them was the most elegant piece of jewelry they ever owned.

I got bumped down a lot for killing them as well with Ryn'ilda. I would still think that killing someone who has lost there minds to put them out of their misery would be a good thing, though.

It's all a matter of perspective I suppose.  When I first played New Vegas, I put the prisoners of Primm down out of mercy.  When I made my legion meat-head gladyus specialist Herod however, he just wanted to kill anything that moved.  In any case, let us know how much you got bumped and we can help fix that for you.

I got bumped from 50 to 42, so -8 on the good/evil axis.
