Nature council
« on: October 25, 2007, 12:24:53 am »
A while back, Rhizome and Rain talked about rains desire to be seated at the natures council, and that Rhizome saw that Rain had what was needed for him. Few months passed, Rhizome has to do his rl things and me too. no follow up on that.

I was wondering what Is needed for that to happen.

i think he is referring to something that came up in mix's seeds of nature quest series
the druid council not natures council
which if i followed it right consists of the heirophant and his/her appointed high druids of the lands and that they meet once per year to decide on druidy things

as the seeds were a valuable aid for nature the druids were very much involved in their gathering as well as tying in the druids of the high path  history

it was never actually gone into great detail as how or where it meets, or whether or not outsiders were allowed to speak before it save as witnesses summoned by the group for some reason

if rain talked with rhizome about it maybe he added something to  what mix had laid out in skeleton frame, but since drogo/ khuren wasnt present i have no idea what was said

but thats where the concept came from unless someone else thought up another one

Actually no Rhizome was quite specific that it was the nature council and that both druid and rangers attended it. But yes it also had to do with the seeds as it is our talks (me and Rhizome) about how the seeds were being thought to be used, that brought this up.

Nah not the Vakhar... Druidic structure doesn't really like druids in any other movement ;)

If I remember right, Rhizome (the player) was trying to come up with an idea of how such a "Nature Council" would function and so forth, but he had difficulty making it meaningful and I don't think he ever followed through with the idea.  He and I had some conversations on this a while back.

Aren't druids already played as a little over-organized? Do we really need a global nature council made up of people who are usually quite solitary? *Runs away* ;)

Well if he ever does have a plan through, rain would still be very much interested.

I think hellblazer is referring to the Vahkar. SInce accorng to lore it is made up of druids, rangers, etc.

"In the year 1388, inspired by the construction of the Temple to Folian S'pae in the Forest of Mists; Aralin Harenya began to gather those he felt shared his vision of fostering and protecting the Forest of Mists, and the other forests throughout Layonara to a group dedicated to these goals."

This pretty much sounds exactly like what Hellblazer was asking about. They take mostly rangers, druids and clerics but are not limited to such classes. At least according to Lore.

Sorry but no I'm not if Rhizome was talking of the Vahkar when we talked, I would have written it as such in Rain's cdt, But it is written under the council of nature

As we were going to rejoin the others, i told him about one of my dire wishes that no one knew of before. It is on my mind since even before my trials, how long exactly I do not know, but many years. I told him that I would be honoured to be sitting at the council of nature as being part of the council. His answer surprised me greatly.
"It would most likely be the council honour to have you sit with them"
Just that he thought it would be their honour to have me with them, made me very happy, a bit proud even but not overly, just that i feel accomplished somehow. I asked him what was needed for me to prepare for that and he told me that nothing needed to be done. All that was needed was to be wise and thoughtful; his he said he saw I already was. That made me even happier.

anyways guess It's better i wait for Rhizome to show up again...

edited the other thread to take out what seems to be confusing and not relevant to the talks with Rhizome.

I'll still wait for news from him and ask him directly...
