Posts Getting Cut Off

Just to let everyone know I am aware of posts getting cut off.  This tends to happen when you type your post in Microsoft Word or other application.  Word likes to translate normal apostrophes and ellipsises (...'s) into custom encoded Windows characters.  These characters are known to be problematic to forums.

If your post is getting cut off, please try to let me know at what character it seems to be getting cut off.  I can fix each character but it looks like I need to do this on a case by case basis. (Not per post, I mean per special character)

G'day Orth,

I had that problem in my most recent character submission for text that was cut and paste from an Appleworks document (i'm on a Mac). It did not like apostrophes nor hyphens from mine.

Done, forgot to mention was also getting stuck on bullet points (option 8 on my keyboard).

Thanks for that Pseudonym, I've updated to translate the dashes and bullets.  Please try copying your text again from Appleworks and pasting directly as a reply to this message.

Yes, some Word Processors have like SmartQuotes and AutoCorrection to make your documents look a little more professional.  For now, until I can figure out how to replace these, I suggest when you post from a Word Processor to change all quotes to apostrophes and all ellipsises to three periods in a row.

Orth, thank you for working on this! I know it is not a normal thing that a forum has so many people that use Word (or another editor) to make posts but we do here.
