Title weapon

While trying to modify a title weapon, I discovered that you cannot customize it. Even after getting close to all the stations, it still said, craft weapon: no possible - you do not have any weapon or shield equipped to modify.

Guess you need to customize your weapon before you title it.

Not sure if that's a bug.  I know that after twidget customized a dagger for Tyra that I coudn't customize it afterwards, so I think it's just the way the system works.

If you name an item it can no longer be changed in its appearance...

Hopefully someone far wiser than me has a solution to that or can let us know if its something we have to live with!

Can you change the title of the weapon once it's already titled? Maybe if you rewrite the name to its original, then it would work.

You can change the title as much as you want. Already changed the name of my blade several times.

Try giving it it's original title again, then try customizing it.  See if that works.

Actually, if you want to make it customizeable again, ox it. Of course, you'll lose any enhancements you may have added to the weapon, but it'll be "fixed."

Oh, and I do hope that weapon crafters out there are customizing the weapons they make and naming them so that a buyer not only buys a weapon for its properties (iron, addy, etc.), but also for the aesthetic appeal of the designer, since the design is locked after naming. Crafters could be known by their designs, even.

Milt, I was hoping to see that happen for a long time back when I started the Angels. It's also why I have always rped my wands to have a capital R inscribed on the wood, when I was making one directly in front of someone. Didn't happen a lot, but was still fun to rp. Now it can actually be made IG, which is awsome.

It's already impossible, unless you remove the title by 'oxing' it, thereby returning it to it's original state (which will remove any enhancements on it).  Or you can try renaming it to it's original name.  Someone should try that (renaming an Iron weapon they titled back to 'Iron ______') and post the results.

Customizing edited objects used to crash the server. It probably doesn't any more, but I've not tested it.

No, renaming an item back to its original name and customizing it will not work.

once I got it the way I like it. sometimes though, I might want to make some minor edit though...
