Graphics Bug

Maybe someone smarty pants out there can help me.  Pretty much every time
I log in, at some point, all the graphics on the screen disappear, and my screen becomes a solid colour.  My cursor becomes a NWN "x".  I can still access inventory, character sheets, etc.  Music still plays fine.  The colour depends on the location, for example, it is usually green in a forest.

Is this a known issue, and if so, is there a fix?  If not, anyone want to dissect my computer?

What os are you using? Make sure you have the proper driver for the video card. If the driver is too new, it might be that's it's no longer supporting some of the features needed by the game, and because of that you might have to revert to older graphic drivers.

Additionally try to reinstall just to make sure you don't have a corrupt installation.

It sounds like a graphics problem. When did you last update your graphics drivers? Sometimes newer drivers do not work so well with this old game. I suggest you try an older set of drivers.

I just remembered you are using a mac and I have no experience with those.
