A Cautionary Tale
« on: April 20, 2010, 02:08:52 am »
I humbly offer up my character Gel'larian as a cautionary tale to low-level players that think the Soul Mother won't get them.  I am level 9, and I just lost my 5th strand.

I wonder if anyone can top that.  If so, please tell me your tale of extreme bad luck so that we can enjoy the view from the bottom together.

I have no sympathy for you. You and your leather jackets and your movie star good looks.

You were lucky! When I were a lad we had to live in a shoe box in the middle of the road and give soul strands awa' to passing oxen tramplin' us.

When did I ever wear a leather jacket? And I will have you know one of my co-workers tonight told me that she would never kiss me.  There goes the movie star good looks idea.

The nerve.

To put it in better perspective, how many times has Gel'larian died?

What are these "Soul strands" you speak of and how can you lose them?

//Rain Had 6 ss when he reached level 9, 7 by level 10. Compared to Tyillaan, he was really unlucky :)

Well apparently some of you are trained counsellors as you have no intention of letting me wallow, even for a moment.  For that my thanks.  May all of you receive eternal drops of +5 coats of kindness.

Here are my three PC's and their respective DT's:

-Gel'larian: 72 deaths, 5 DT's (Actually right about where he should be)

-Tristan: 50 deaths, 0 DT's (Pretty startling, I guess Lucinda is looking out for him.)

-Gilshem: 23 deaths, 0 DT's (Dwarves don't die... ever...)

Did you ever consider that 112141 might be a zip code of something, and Layonara's algorithim was telling you the future or something?
