Card Game - Animals

Does anyone know if spiders (Giant or phase) count as animals towards the druid card?

I'm pretty sure they don't.  In PnP, they count as vermin, not animals.  That's why they're listed as being immune to mind effects.

Aye, Brilligimble has an animal deck, and none of those icky fuzzy spiders chittered their way into the shuffle. I wish there was a magic action card that catapaulted the cows to do avatar damage, but that ties into the Monty Python thread. ;)
