Dumb Layo Question #1
« on: May 20, 2006, 02:09:36 pm »
Can I use the Character Development Forum and make a new topic to write letters between two of my characters?

Or should it be done in each seperate Char development journal. I think the first way would make more sense, I plan to do it quite often and Don't want to flood my journals.

I was told previously that two of my characters would be allowed to know eachother as long as no transactions took place between either of them, even if it was through a third party. I am abiding that rule.

They are allowed to know each other.

But be sure to be familiar with the rules on muling so as not to have any questionable situations arise.

**nods* My plan was to have my older character know my newer character since before the new one was Dragoncalled. my new char (layla) Lived in Leilon, and Rhynn is ..well, She practically lives there anyway.

Alright, read up on muling, I won't do any of that, I just wanted to know if I can make a forum post that's like a pen pal thing between the two of my characters...they talk frequently, but...they never see eachother for obvious reasons (In game, I may rp something out with myself Out of game and post it as well)

All of my characters know OF eachother, but they generally despise eachother and refuse to do any business with eachother.  Sure they have some of the same friends, but should they mention the name of any of my other characters, they will go into tirades over their hatred of them.  Bjorn thinks everybody's a lazy good fer nothin, cept Rakish who does actually craft, but is still a drow.  Farros and Rakish came down to fisticuffs in a card game when Farros was overtly cheating, and they both see Bjorn as a rude, repulsive blob of dwarven idiocy.  As for Zeke, Lonn and Brilligimble, I rarely ever play them, so they're off on their personal quests, too busy to even meet eachother.

What you will never see is Lonn wearing a Rakish leather, Farros wearing Bjorn's platinum, Farros' beer in Bjorn's backpack, Lonn's bow in Zeke's hands... etc.  That kind of petty muling's beneath me, all of my accounts and storage are entirely divided.
No matter how you slice it, muling items back and forth is just plain wrong, and makes the economy buckle.

Far better just to donate ALL your surplus and make sure your god sleeps easy on a uge pile of celestial gold.

The only time I muled was when I had to make a boy's outfit for someone but couldnt fashion it on a girl, so I made it on a guy, gave it to someone to hold for my character (for 50gp) and then bought it back on my girl.
