Quick question on housing

I would love to purchase a house but cannot at the moment raise the funds for it. When I talk to the real estate agents about housing they mention financing and state that I have a great credit rating but when they ask me would I like to finance one for some reason the only answer I am able to give them is that I am looking to buy one outright. Is this a bug in the game or has the financing been taken out of the game completely?
I am sorry if this has been asked before but I honestly have no idea where to look. If you can answer the question or point me to a previous quest I would greatly appreciate it.

If you cannot afford a house there are often adverts by players for room rent etc. Don't know anything about the credit part.

I do not think the financing-option is available. What you can do is ask around for a room that you could rent in the house of a house-owner.

  Come to the Lelion arms Inn and Tavern.  We rent rooms already furnished, and complete with storage.   And that furniture is expensive.  Plus.. we have the cutest bar tender in town.

Or, if you don't wanna stay at the inn like every other out-of-work shmuck, I'm about to boot a couple people out of my house. You can come stay at my place after that. Provided you fit some stipulations... not much unlike Pox's list... with the following exceptions.


Turor will be allowed to stay in Turor's house.
Friends of Turor will be allowed to stay in Turor's house.
Aleister will not be allowed to stay in Turor's house.
Friends of Aleister will be pitied for their friendship to such a man and be allowed to stay at Turor's house for comfort in dealing with such an awful thing as befriending Aleister.
