Change of Mind!

Was thinking about it, feel free to come along, even if you weren't there last week.

Prelim:-

You are approached at Stormcrest Crossroads by one Professor Perrin Periwinkle Peroneous, the dean of Tribal history and antiquities - Northern Islands Division at Prantz University. He is seeking assistance in locating and obtaining a particular tribal mask that had some cultural significance from the Stalking Bear tribe of Krashin (near the Wolverine Camp).

He explained that this tribe had no real interest in material gain and the mask could not be bought. He also headed off any thoughts of trying to steal it saying the tribe was known to be home to many fierce and wary warriors who would not look upon a theft kindly. He then continued to reveal that where the mask could not be bought, it however could be won.

This tribe had a yearly 'games' where it's members competed in various contests and competitions, the winner being able to ask a boon of the Stalking Bear chief, Gomo. Professor Perrin's great idea is to hire some heroes who could go in, win the games and ask for the mask as their boon.

Easy, yes?

// If you wish to come along, be at Stormcrest at the start time whereupon you will be ported to the party's location.

// All levels welcome, RP will see you succeed or fail (not an AB of +75).

As I already discussed Pseudonym with, I really would love to come to these events but I can only come about 40 minutes after it starts. So far he let me tag and join, and so I hope you also wouldn't mind?

I really do love to join these stand alone quests.

Thanks Dezza, whilst you didn't quite fill my sizeable shoes, I suppose it was a somewhat adequate quest. :)

My turn again! This week a participant can expect ... RP! (All levels welcome) I know, we're about due for a bashy one soon ... but I really do like the sound of my own voice.

Thanks to all who came last week, the babies are doing well by all accounts. The one under Acacea's care supposedly can already say "You're a *******" and what we think is "Kiss my ########".

This Monday's quest is to be GMed by me again, Dezza being an ever so unreliable so-and-so. What to expect, what to expect ..... Hmmmmm, lemme think .... okay, along with your willingness to RP (as ever), best bring along a weapon of some description and a healing potion or three.

Tonight's quest should be a quickie, maybe an hour or two followed by exploration of the wonders of the new update!

If this is a certain miscreant elven wizard, this episode might quickly become retitled "Menestas Must Die". :D

    //

Hello regular AEST Monday evening attendees (and the ring-ins),

If you check the calendar, tonight's quest is a bit different to the normal. For starters, it begins in Katherian, not Stormcrest. More importantly however, this series will potentially have a far greater impact on the world and your character's lives than has been the case with the other quests I have run over the last few months.

Check the rumour forums, talk to some of the bards in game ... serious (and dangerous) things are afoot. Be prepared for your character's actions to have consequences. Katherian is a dangerous city. This quest will involve interacting with people who won't suffer foolishness and will punish stupidity with a likely display of swift and lethal intolerance. In previous quests I have been guilty of playing some of my NPCs as a little flippant (all in the name of good fun) but in this series, mouth off or show disrespect to the wrong person and your involvement in this series might come to an abrupt end.

I post this information/warning to those who will be attending as I think over the last few months I have created a certain expectation in player's minds as to what to expect from a Pseudonym quest. I wouldn't like to see people upset in RL (OOC) if their behaviour or attitude towards NPCs that has 'flown' as perfectly acceptable in the past is not the case for the people they will be dealing with in the 'With Friends like these' sessions.

Tonight's session will begin with a quick rundown of some OOC rules and understandings. After that, don your RP hats and we'll get into it!

    Regards,

The more I read this thread, the sadder I am that my AM is your PM.  Thanks for keeping these quests going Pseudo, there are way too many closed ones on the calandar where people who haven't been in the previous 8 episodes are shut out from joining.  These Stand-Alone quests are great for all of us folks with jobs who can't afford to make 8 consecutive meetings with the same 10 people.  Mucho Kudos.

Argh... now, that I am not able anymore to enter your quest, you tell me something about greater impact? You couldn't have done that a month ago?!

No seriously, keep up the good work, alway enjoyed the Quests ;)
