Frelinder yea I know.. Was thinking dual for more attacks and the great benefit from duelist is the AC bonus and that he would still have.

no, using two weapons remove the canny defence ability, you would keep precise strike however

Oh.. i thought it was the other way around.. in lore about canny defence it says..

"Type of Feat: Class
Prerequisite: Duelist 1

Specifics: The character may add her Inteligence modifier to AC when not wearing armor.

Use: Automatic. Ceases to function if armor is applied.

"

So I though it was just the armor thing that could cancle the AC bonus.. and that dual wielding make the precise strike go away since then the offhand is not free as it must be according to lore.

However I trust the highest lvl duelist more then Lore so i will have this important fact in mind when coming up whith what would be the best for my character :)

I decided to test it on Anglea just to be a 100% sure
using two weapons removes canny defence and grace (int to ac and + to reflex save), you keep precise strike on your main hand, but you wont get it on your off hand. (tested with a short sword, who normally gives the precise strike)

Thanks.. This doesn't realy show in Lore and so then you absolutely right about that dual wielding is pointless :)

Thanks again for checking it out..

*coughs* well since you asked...

Type of Feat: Class
Prerequisite: Duelist 2

Specifics: The character gains extra piercing damage when wielding a light piercing weapon. +1d6 at 2nd level, +2d6 at 6th level.

Use: Automatic when wielding a light melee piercing weapon. This only functions if the PC is not wearing armor or using a shield. It does not function with Layonara Custom Weapons.

precise strike works in armor or with a shield, both however remove canny defence and grace.

why not try a bard/duelist then?, and as for your duel wielding halfing then there isn't a lot of sense in adding duelist to that, you'll lose the special abilities you get from it :)

I can't believe only one commented on this fantastic build.  The Bard Duelist is truely a great combination.  Both classes gain bonuses from no armor, the buffs (Cats, Mage armor, haste...etc) compliment the Duelist perfectly.  The bonuses from the bard song to AC, AB, Skills (parry) etc are fantastic.  This truely is a combo that I've made previously on other servers that I really enjoyed.  Actually talking about it already has some idea's ticking over in the old noggin.
Additionally if you make it an elf, you'll automatically gain the rapier proficiency without needlesly spending a feat on martial.

Lastly if you ever did make it to epic levels, you could always toss in RDD PrC if your bio was written well or to make it even more powerful toss in a mere 5 lvls of Skald.

This would be my choice for a character that has a bit of everything!

This is -not- true. Or, well, it is. However! You will notice, when you equip something in your offhand, or in armor, that you'll see "Precise Strike Off" as well. This is due to the intended effect of turning off Precise Strike when you're in armor or have something in the offhand. It is an exploit of the system in place to use Precise Strike in armor or with something in the offhand.

Another mix that works very well that I'm suprised there aren't more of is the bard/arcane archer.  Its fun having an archer who can heal and boilster the frontline, not to mention eerie how well the class combo would fit for an Ilsaran.

its very true... weather or not the text says Precise strike is off, then its still working, I was not commenting on if it was a exploit, merely telling how precise strike works gamewise
