Just for Fun / RE: Wacky Spells - NO LIMITS!!!« on: June 25, 2005, 08:03:00 AM »
here's a couple more...
Mordenkainen's Hippie: The caster summons a rainbow-eyed hippie who covers all enemies within 20ft with dope. If a successful will save is not made against a DC of 50, these enemies become under the caster's control for 2 hours. On a successful will check, the enemies are temporarily immobilized because they are smokin' so many doobies. If the targets (will save or not) fail a fortitude save after a certain time, (2 hours for successful will, 1 hour for failed) they must die. Bigby's "Naughty Naughty" Hand: The caster summons a giant hand (who's colour is specified before), that spanks all enemies within 5ft, dealing 3d6 damage per caster level, if they fail their reflex and will saves. If they succeed reflex, they are immobilized and struck with fear. If they succeed will, the hand shakes its finger at them, striking them with fear and reducing their strength by 4. If both checks are succeeded, they are struck with uncontrollable laughter for 1d4 rounds. 11

Development Journals and Discussion / RE: The Blackest Night« on: June 16, 2005, 09:51:00 PM »
Andesemin stared into the blackness of the night sky. Straining to see, but finding nothing but black. He blinked his eyes, and he could feel the burns on his lids scratching against each other.
I wonder... he thought, Does a star soar above me today? His mother walked up behind him, and he felt her footsteps echo through the ground. She said, "Andesemin, I brought you some dinner..." "Mom, I'm eighteen, do you really need to do that?" "I'm just making sure you eat, now dig in!" Reluctantly, Andesemin ate. Eating was not as hard as you might think it would be for a blind person. After eighteen years of eating, you kind of get used to it. Andesemin, still straining to see the stars, finished his dinner and returned to his house. Feeling his way down the dimly lit hallway, he found his bed and went to sleep. 13

Before you even think about that technical stuff, pretige classes are not usually approved on character submission. You later can rp in that direction, but from my experience, they don't tend to let PrC Classes in right off the bat.
As far as the deity vs. alignment goes, I think you'd be smart to make him chaotic good. And yes, you must be able to cast divine spells, but you can get that from a druid, as Clerics are sometimes difficult to rp. Hope it helps.

Just for Fun / RE: D&D spells not worth memorizing.« on: June 13, 2005, 10:08:00 PM »Quote Talan Va'lash - 5/18/2005 2:19 PM Some of those could actually be made quite powerful spells, if you think about it. A few examples: Acid Trip (If the target fails their DC Check, they lose their feet, becoming partially immobile as if they were encumbered) Anti-Magic Magic Missle (Instantly Removes all buffs currently on the target, each missle removing one.) Anger God (Try pissing off a god, point, and say, "He did it!") Bigby's Insulting Hand (The comic equivalent to finger of death!) Clear Audience (Increases the effect of verbal spells by ten feet!) Globe of Vulnerability (If targeted on an enemy) Mordenkainen's Unfaithful Wife (Break your enemy's heart, making all initiative and "will to live" rolls zero, then kill them!) Teleport Wthout Destination (Chill in The Void for a while, rest, prepare spells, use the proper teleport spell to go back, and less than a moment in real time will have passed!) Unseen Manservant (Because everyone wants to summon something invisible, right? If used immediately after killing a creature under the effects of Mordenkainen's Unfaithful Wife, summons that creature) And finally, Wall of Dog (The higher the DC Check, the more damage the dog(s) deal. More dogs with higher caster levels up to level 20) --------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: More fun! Alamir's Fundamental Theorem (If it's the Fundamental Theorem of Magic, then that could be turned into some form of primal energy attack spell???) Break the Wind (All AOE spells affected by wind are dispelled immediately. Deals 6d12 damage to wind elementals.) Deathwish (You die, but so do all those within 15 feet of you if they fail a DC Check.) Detect Lightning Bolts (area 5') (Use immediately after Clear Audience and you can tell if your buddy in the next room is under fire!) Enrage Dragon (Picture this: some guy, hopefully one of your enemies , is speaking with a dragon. Wait until he says something stupid, then cast this spell to kill him indirectly! Remember to cast Expeditious Retreat on yourself first.)Explosive Friends (Target a party member, then tell them to go fight without telling them the effects of the spell. Trigger it, with lots of Resurrection spells in pocket, and watch him go BOOM! Along with all the enemies he was just fighting) Hair Extension I, II, III (Gives an unarmed attack bonus, depending on the spell level, the target being able to use their hair as a whip!) Part Hair (Use on an enemy under the effects of Hair Extension) Hehe... 19

Another question that's been eating at me. Is the Character Development forum open to anyone for the creation of stories surrounding their character? Or is it just for suggesting CDGs?
