Silver and Titanium enhancements

I am curious what properties silver and titanium add to weapons and how the levels of these enhancements work.  Thanks.

Silver adds damage against undead and shapechanging creatures and titanium adds damage versus outsiders. And these enchantments do not cancel the elemental ones.

What exactly constitutes an outsider?  I have not heard that term before.  Thanks.

What Ar7 says is right, but I'd also add they don't stack with eachother. You can only have silver or titanium. You can find level reqs on the list that is posted in the CNR forum.

Outsiders are creatures from other planes like slaads, balors, imps, pit fiends etc
