satyr's vs protection from evil spell

ran into Satyr's on central, they casted fear spell ... was using protection from evil ... description says mind effect immunity ...

so either description not correct or satyr's fear over rides protection from evil ...

You can also cast protection from good... but should you?

Also circle of protection from evil does NOT provide the target with immunity to fear affects.  This makes the normal protection from evil more useful for dealing with such effects.
