    Well, a simpler example of recursion would be watching a television show in which a person is watching a television show.

    So we have a group of friends in the comic playing a game of tabletop Dungeons and Dragons and they go into an inn, and one of the players starts getting the characters in the game to start preparing for a game of Dungeons and Dragons (whittling dice and making character sheets) which causes the GM to profess her house rule, "Hey, no recursing."
