Llane S. Anetheron, a punk elf who is rarely seen without her hood and her flask, wanders in various places throughout Hempstead to catch any notable pieces of information. She particularly is seen near the docks and inside the Scamp's tavern, where she is amicable and engages in small talk with the commoners around so long as they seem willing to speak. Her manner, although insolent, is witty and borders on sharp humour. When queried about her own history, she answers enough on her name (Llane), her origin (Arnax), and that she came here to escape the full front of the civil war. Otherwise, she will do her best to politely and subtly evade any other questions.

On Freas, she often brings her dock working friends a flask of ale from the tavern in the afternoon to tell stories over, and those are the days she allows her melodic laughs. Should she choose to remain in the taverns, she'll often buy the table she is haunting a free round.

//Well, my OOC aim is to get involved in the Dragon Storm Campaign, but since my character Llane is only aware of it to the most bare of informations (Green Dragon Cult, assassins looking for Steel and Idoran, storm fleet possibly coming for Hempstead, connections to Kuhl and that it started there...), I figured she should have more of an idea of what's on it before even really making an effort to join. If not, then at least I can say I had a chance to experience it by listening to all that's been said about it.

On terms of player information, I've been trying to get at that too, but I figured that it'd be fun and beneficial to Llane and those who she's learning this information for (she's employed by Steel to learn everything as much as she can for payment!) if she was able to get a commoner's perspective and learn the workings of Hempstead along the way.

So, in closing, she doesn't have a severe goal just yet in what information she's trying to pursue outside of gossip and a few major worldly events... was hoping to get an idea through a few vague beginnings.

Getting into the campaign is only to be applauded of course.

However, I am making reference to the following thread http://forums.layonara.com/dragon-storm-campaign/161352-player-initiated-investigation-sessions.html
specifically the posts of September 20, 2008 (jrizz and myself) on info that's out there.

There are several player groups out there in the campaign (helping or interfering with each other, hehehe so you'll have to get that information in game.

Commoners would only know the barest of rumors, and it seems you already picked up on a few already, but as long as it's half a world away, they're not really bothered.
Also, check out other posts in the Rumour Has It forums, most of those would have info you get from commoners.

*Idoran exits a small room from the scamp, arm limp in a sling and looking in healing condition. upon recognizing Llane, he walks up to the bar and takes a seat by her.

"A bit o' a gruff place fer a woman like yer self... lookin' fer somethin'?"

Llane looks up from her table at Idoran, a faint smile touching her lips as she recognizes him in turn. Her pale blue eyes seem to acknowledge his placement beside her, though she makes no comment on such, answering instead,

Hoping to hear some word on the going ons about here... and you, sir? Are you well? I've heard ill omens regarding you and Steel.

Her bottle is brought to her lips, and she looks upon him unwaveringly. She does not seem to acknowledge his currently crippled condition.

"where did ya hear tha'?..." *He coughs* "Oh yes. Idoran. Idoran Mossfeild... an' I'm fine. jus' need to rest a bit. Yer lookin' fer infermation 'bout the Cult?"

*leans closer and whispers*

"I don' know too much, so ya might want to get Steel to inform ya. But I'll tell ya a bit o' it, well, what littl' I know..."
