A footnote in a dusty tome
« on: December 02, 2008, 01:50:06 PM »
Hello folks,

Layonara popped in to my head today out of the blue and here I am.  I just thought I would stop by, re-register to the forum and say hello to all.

Only those with very long extremely white beards or exceptional memories will probably have even an inclination of who I am.  Some may remember my forum name Aurhinius, others my character Quintayne Rosewyne.

It's good to find layonara is moving from strength to strength. Good to see old familiar names on the forum and new ones a like.

Sorry we never got that CDQ finished Ed but I believe we left it on hold so one day I might want an ending ;)

Dan you have worked so very hard my friend and should be an inspiration to future game developers. You've had some hard times but always found the light at the end of the tunnel.  You have the patience of a saint, or the stubborness of a bull.  Perhaps a bit of both.  I am sure you'll say it is the great team you have behind you. Every team needs good leadership though.  I am thrilled to see you have come so far and continue futher.  I'll do my best to keep an eye on things and be first in line to buy my copy of Layonara when you get there.

Well done Layonara team, well done indeed!

Cheers Quint, thanks for popping by and for all your kind words.  PoD was here about a month ago talking 'bout your guys crazy relationship.

Couldn't say it better about Leanthar - Layonara's future is in good hands and I hope, for the most part, those of us who have experienced Layonara as a chapter in their life will always hold fond memories.

Edit: Your old account still exists if you want I can update the email address.

Greetings!

Indeed, we never ended it. But perhaps Quint is a bit too old these days, as we're in 1441 these days, that's 50 years after "The Triangle of Eyes". And you forgot the "E" in front of "CDQ".

No one has found the crown of Raklin yet though ;) Perhaps something for little Aurhinius.

Take care and stay in touch!

Thanks Orth. I didn't realise my account was still active. Thanks for keeping the old fires burning for me.

If you can update my e-mail on it that would be great.

EDIT BY ORTH: OOPS I ACCIDENTALLY EDITED YOUR MESSAGE INSTEAD OF REPLYING.

Okay bud, your accounts were merged, your email address updated to the one you used for the "Quintayne" account, you will probably need to run through the password resetting process now though.

Heya Quintayne, I do remember you from way way back.  You were married or related to that other character, think it was Kasha or Sasha?  Glad to see one of you old-timers back in action!  I think the only characters of mine you might remember from way way back would be Bjornigar Ironguts or Farros Galdor.

You're in for a real treat when you get back in game.  Chongo and the team did a sweet revamp for version 3 and some tweaking onward.  Now people no longer wind up stagnating around levels 17-25 like they used to since there are some sweet areas to hunt in that dont immediately obliterate everybody on the screen like they used to.  Oh, and no more E-CDQs!  You can just level from 20th to 21st onward on your own time instead of waiting months to get quest approval.  Some pretty significant improvements!

On the down side, dark elves are no longer allowed to have hackysack circles and vegan barbecues in the middle of towns with townguards high-fiving them as they walk past.  ;)

Sorry just came back to forums and found this post. Any chance someone could message me his new email address registered on the forums? I dont seem to be able to get to it via a normal user accessing his profile. Been trying to get in touch with him for a while.
