Could someone please give me a link on LORE if it exists or sum up the way in which bounty hunting relates to the Law?

Bounties only have as much legitimacy as the issuer.

If a kingdom issues a bounty, someone acting on that bounty would be recognised by the lawful authority of the kingdom in accordance with the terms of the bounty.

Problems for the bounty hunter arise when enacting a bounty outside the area of influence of the issuer, viz, pursing a bounty issued by one kingdom in another kingdom.

It is exactly as Script Wrecked explained. Someone may have a bounty on his head in one area/kingdom, but actually be protected in another area/kingdom.

There is no single link on bounty hunting in LORE, but I can confirm that any rules regarding bounty hunting would be different depending on which country you visited. Many countries would have no written code regarding bounty hunting.

There could even be illegal bounties. Otherwise known as a hit. As in one crime lord puts out a hit on someone.

Yep, and they could even have different conditions per bounty offer. E.g. "Wanted dead or alive" or "Wanted for questioning safe and sound" or "Wanted: whereabouts of XXX".
