New vesion online last night-- not entirely sure what time it was finished. This link gives the updates:

http://nwn.layonara.com/Version%202.96

In the future you can see the last version updates by looking in the top left corner where it says "Layonara Online (nwn/sou/hotu-1.66) Version 2.96" The Version will be clickable with the latest version.

Over the last couple of days, a new version (2.96.4) has snuck in. This is pretty minor, and mostly just some area tweaks. Details can be found here
My thanks to IceDragon for the East area and creature updates.

  • Mystery Minerals are now based on the vein of ore you mine

Is there any more information on this? Such as what minerals go with what ore?

Nothing public, and there's not a one-to-one correlation. The only thing I'll say is that low-end deposits and ores no longer have even the smallest chance of yielding high-end minerals.
Sorry, but the "Mystery Mineral Lottery" is over, and we're not going to give out info regarding which deposits someone should farm to have a chance at getting an emerald the easy way.

Even as a beneficiary of this lottery, I still say thank god for one of the most needed changes.

Wow... The farming system is coming to fruition. I have to say, guys, that that is something I never would've even dreamed of, before coming to Layonara. You guys have taken the game and made so much more of it. So much more.

But I really have to ask. Where'd Trollocs come from? Last I heard, they were a little busy following the orders of Myrddraal and the Forsaken to be running amok in NWN.
