who built your house?

First off would like to thank the project team for all the hard work i've seen V2 go thru since it started. It is easy to see by the small details being attended to that you all are devoting much attention and care to all things. Not having logged in a while, i was pleased to see that my soul was bound in fort lastt and not on another server. Having recently been sent to pranzis in the last few deaths and seperated from my party, unable to return to my grave due to weakness caused by the planer travel. I had no choice but to wait. Thank you for the timley reminder at log in.

Ok, my idea. Add the House Building and Furnishings to the CNR lists.
 Woodworking would build the structure, perhaps with a few design chioces or styles
 Alchemy for the windows and lamp shades, wood oils
 Tinkering for the hinges, spikes, lamp bases, key latches, lead bead for the glass

Have the finer metals or creations require more skill.

Please add any ideas or opinions as I have no idea how Layonara works or what it would require to implement

gotta be one hell of a woodcrafter to build the foundations and all that for the house but it could be done with proper scripting *looks to orth*

I don't think this would be practical to implement. There is no way that a person alone could build a house. Houses also have to be created as areas and added during an update for them to be there IG. I think that this would be immpossibleto implement reasonably.

On the other hand furniture crafting is already IG and is a branch of woodcrafting.

true it's very dificult and disfunctional for 1 person to build a house (seen it done a few times tho), but i watched two people build log homes for 9 years .  I undertand that the houses need to be created in the toolset, but you wouldn't expect your hand crafted home instantly. instead of thousands of gold you would spend plenty of hours gathering wood and working it. You would still have to buy the lot.  perhaps have 3-5 different styles to choose from so the tilesets could be had by all and .hak updates wouldn't become outragous. by having the glass and locks and hinges and such you have already added two more artisans to the mix.
 
some people would build for the savings others would build for the oportunity to have silver or gold plated fixtures, silk tapestries and silver candlestands or lamps.

 I  see plenty of RP oportunity and economy in this. For myself i like questing and exploring and may never own or build a house.

Just ask for a home buidling CDQ *grins* Just remember it's gonna be like your susgestions, Long hard lots of RP and gathering
