Just for Fun / The Witcher 2 - Something lots of you may be interested in« on: September 25, 2011, 09:26:48 am »
Just making a quick post about this, I played the game through once about 4 or 5 months ago, and being honest, it's one of the best single player RPGs i've played to date.
Very detailed, very diverse, and a unique combat system that works very well, my chapter 2 was completely different to my friends, and neither of us got to eachothers areas we ended up in. Never played the first one, but might have to. Heres a link to a trailer that sums up the basic plot line. The Witcher 2 - PC - World of The Witcher - YouTube 3

*notes posted around some of more dodgy inns and taverns accross the continents*
'A warrior takes responsibility for his acts, for the most trivial of acts. An average man acts out his thoughts, and never takes responsibility for what he does.' Which one of the two do you fall under? Recruiting brave, loyal men, or women that are capable of performing certain tasks. Want to show you're worth the true? Sign up and prove it. Skills you may want to consider having before signing up, a combination of the following is the most desirable of candidates: - Stealth - Spells like invisibility only accepted if you are silent on your feet as well. - Good at Trapping Both arming, and disarming - (bring your own traps, they will not be supplied, but will be beneficial). - Good with locks A wide range of mechanism knowledge preferable. - Keen Eyes & Ears Possibly one of the more important skills to have for the first few tasks. - Combat Training Only minor skill required at this time - However the better you are the more likely you will be chosen. - Professionalism Don't step out of line, Don't try to be smart with words. Be respectful to those you will be working with. Failure on this single point will result in a prolonged painful exit. // Time: 18:00 GMT / 13:00 EST / 10:00 PST The Fixed Time World Clock Start Location: Hurm - Tempests Tavern Level Limit: N/A Party Size: N/A - Groups to be decided upon turnout Overview: Mixture of roleplay, puzzles and some bashing. Sign up - http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=15462&day=2010-01-10 Said I would be running an event for the evil/neutral chars, and here it is, good chars welcome to come along, but you may not want to stay for the whole thing, all depends on actions and other players I guess Any questions feel free to post below or PM me. If you're interested in taking part and don't fit the current roles please do PM me anyway, I might find some use somewhere! 4

General Discussion / Just another player.« on: August 26, 2009, 11:22:23 am »
Wasn't going to make a public post about this because I didn't think it was really that necessary, but I guess I should make people aware that I have stepped down from the GM team and will no longer be running any quests etc.
I will still be here as a player, as much as I can spare the time for, but sadly it's best I step down as I can't dedicate the time I used to be able to writing/running quests, it has been a lot of fun and a big thanks to the team for letting me a part of it. Rumour Has It / Red Light Caverns« on: January 14, 2009, 11:29:41 am »
Rumours spread between Hlint, Silkwood, and Fort Llast of undead within the Red Light Caves, people are being advised to keep away and not to disturb the undead there until a further investigation has taken place.
If anyone has any information available they are to report it as soon as possible to local authorities. // Be careful if you go down there You've been warned. The following users thanked this post: Link092

General Discussion / Thanks to Lord Cove« on: November 27, 2008, 01:10:44 pm »
Think most (if not all) the people on the quest yesterday would agree it was well done, although I did not get to see the end I had a lot of fun participating and being able to do some G'ork-like things
Good setup, nice interaction with NPCs and well thought out. Thanks again. The following users thanked this post: LordCove

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / Poison Duration on weapons/arrows« on: May 19, 2008, 08:07:30 pm »
Sadly the duration is far too short to benefit from this what so ever currently, *shrugs* Think that about sums it up.
Oh, I will add, the one time I tried using it on a target, I wasn't quite close enough, by the time I had creeped up to my target, it was already gone. Seems ashame theres such a potentially decent craft going down the drain for the people that put the effort into it. For the same reason no one really wants to buy them, because they are simply, useless! So what I'm suggesting is the duration increased, one minute would be perfect, thats not too long, but long enough to actually do something with, rather than putting the enchantment on only to see it fade before combat! 10

General Discussion / Kalin Sundar/Halfwit Genious« on: January 10, 2008, 08:33:39 am »
On the quest I was running last saturday, Kalin explained that he needed to log due to certain reason OOC.
Sadly he was also asking me to post a good bye on his behalf to the community, I hope this isn't the case, but due to reasons outside of Layo I don't think he will be about for a while atleast. If anyone can contact him, please send my regards and hope all is well. Looking forward to seeing you back here Kalin, and I'm sure there are a lot of others that are thinking the same. 13
General Discussion / Responding in RP« on: December 27, 2007, 03:36:30 am »
Last night I was running an small sessionto liven things up just outside Hempstead, it was good RP between those involved. However I did notice something that no one else seemed to at one point.
An orc turned up killing some kobolds, possibly saving the group, the group showed no fear or anxiety to the orc, he was accepted like most would be. This is the first part I find odd, Orcs aren't socially acceptable generally, and I found it amusing aswell as annoying, how can some one ignore a huge green man infront of them wielding a spear. Later on, in the fields, another orc, which confused me as to where it actually came from at first, but again, the orc ran admidst the group, not a flinch from anyone. Just want to point out to people this sort of RP isn't the way it should be, people should be acting upon what is happening, not ignoring other PCs due to the fact they have fought some kobolds that aren't normally there. I have noticed the same for my PC G'ork recently, most just don't react like he is a problem, some even (somehow) manage to pluck up enough courage to take a close look at his axe. Infact, most strangers do sadly. I don't know about you, but if I was an elf and saw an orc on the roads, I'd probablyavoid them, or atleast keep my eye on them from a distance, but would be weary. It's an orc/half-orc/half-giant/goblin - it really doesn't matter, monsterous races should be RP'd as odd creatures. Not cuddly toys. 14
Fixed Bugs / Fort Vehl to Leringard Docks« on: May 01, 2007, 08:22:26 pm »
This was mentioned to me by some one a while ago now, but I can see why it was.
A lot of players are not supposed to enter Port Hempstead, and this is one of the main routes to get to places like, Mariners hold, or Leringard, even sails to Vehl for those that are lazy among us Think changing this, so that there is also a route from Leringard to Vehl and vice versa, would be a simple difference that would mean players with a monsterous subrace don't have to go by Hempstead when needing to head south from Leringard.
