It's about time for old Goldwin Blacknight to think of his mortality and what will happen to his estate when he's gone to Dorand's happy workshop. I've sent a copy of the will to my old friend Gravas Hrendhammer for his records. I also intend to send one to my new friend Hardrah to be used in case of Gravas' untimely death as he is getting old at 300 yrs now also. To be clear on this-Gravas is first beneficiary and Hardrah as second just in case there is some confusion. If these people fail to claim Goldwin's estate let it go to the new loving couple of Tegan and Sallaron-both old friends of Goldy's should they survive him in life.

Goldwin was killed outright by a malar today and I'm not sure why. Simply-the log entries were something like this: Malar attacks Goldwin-death attack (die roll) miss. Fortitude save vs poison (die roll) failed. Bionk! Malar killed Goldwin. Been poisoned by malar before but wasn't killed outright just slowly loosing HP. How did I get boinked outright? Can someone shed some light on malar attacks which I know are many and varied, and why was there instant death if the death attack failed?

I just went through HECK! trying to find out what was corrupting my graphics after a recent OS upgrade. Finally found it to be a tweeky, slightly worn out "Hordes" disk that wasn't quite downloading correctly. Purchased a "Diamond" edition of NWN (everything on one DVD downloadable disk) to correct my problem. Anyone know of a program to run NWN without a disk after it's downloaded? They seem to appear for other games as they reach their commercial endlife. If you know of one-post here....

After downloading Allinone hak-still get "cannot load module without layov2 tiles v1. hak". Isnt that included in the Allinone file?

In the Delwin River area just outside Karthy there is one clay deposit. Twice now I became stuck next to the water's edge after mining the deposit to "That's It". Relogging didn't help and only became unstuck with DM's help. Maybe move the deposit farther away from the water's edge?

The 1st page of my inventory is bugged-showing empty when 1st logging into game. It seems to have all started after making a Lion Leather Whip (for the 1st time) in the advanced crafthall. The narative said "acquired item" Lion Leather Whip, but there wasnt anything on the 1st page inventory. After exploring it closely- the whip seems to occupy 4 squares on that page but doesnt show and cant do anything with those squares. So I filled the 1st page with items and made a second whip. Narrative again says "aquired item" Lion Leather Whip but does not show on the second page although 4 squares obviously occupied by something. My crafting days are over without a fix as anything bought or made that needs to appear on the first inventory page doesn't appear now since this happened.

He remembered how his father had died at the gates of Tarala with that same dazed look-holding his famous axe high, unable to move. "I must find a way to be more than my father was, or I will die the same way and never recover the BlackAxe!" Magic had always intrigued Goldwin. He knew the feeling of warmth and power as it was cast upon him by mages and priests. He was much too old to take up a true study of the arcane, but there might be another way. "Thieves and rogues are said to be able to mimick some of the skills of mages" he thought, and he knew of several in Layonara that seemed to know how this was done. " I will talk to Ender Sai and the others. I have seen them do this. I will not die as my father did." Goldwin Blacknight arose from his lonely chair and left the inn intent on going beyond his father.
