It is time for Jade to return to the woods where she was made. As a result, she no longer needs her cabin on Rondora Lake. Putting the house up for auction. All proceeds will go to the temples of Folian S'pae. // no starting bid, but would like to get what she paid for it at least (175k or there abouts), no specific end time either. Complete furnishing can be negotiated in.

Hello all, I'm letting everyone know that there are presently what looks to be some severe network lag/timeout issues affecting the game servers. The pings to the server are very good but they randomly drop out for anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes, apparently. The physical server has been rebooted and both game servers have been restarted. At this point, there's nothing we can do. Game play will be difficult at best and hazardous at worst until the problem is worked out. Consider this your warning; this qualifies as a known lag event, so any Soul Strand loss, item loss or other negative effects are non-reimbursable. Both servers are up, but I cannot guarantee stability. Play at your own risk. We'll continue to monitor the situation.

... a few dozen stranded sailors and passengers were hauled out of the sea, each claiming that their ship caught fire mid-voyage between Hurm and North Point. The story goes that the whole ship went up in a blazing inferno, the passengers and crew diving overboard, only to turn and see the inferno take the shape of a massive dragon before the whole ship went down in a steamy haze of white smoke. Those who rescued the stranded lot discredited the tale, attributing it to delirium from hunger or shock, but some wonder how so many 'delirious' people came up with the exact same tale.

Word has spread out of western Trelania of a pair of women seen approaching Blackford Castle on horseback. Such an event would not normally receive much scrutiny, and it didn't until one of the women was identified as none other than Katrien Hommel, head of the Foundation out of Port Hempstead, several thousands of miles to the south as the falcon flies. The other woman, by her bearing and deference, seemed little more than an attendant or maid. Upon her arrival, it is said that Katrien formally requested a royal audience.
As is typical of visits by notable persons, much speculation abounds outside the castle walls as to the reason of Katrien's visit. Some even wonder what crisis has befallen Trelania to draw the interest of the Foundation. However, as yet, no factual word of her purpose has become generally known.

After the retreat of the Cult's troops back in Kuhl, Steel practically disappeared from Belinara. Lately, however, he has been spotted more and more often around the Hilm Protectorate and Nesar. His return to Belinara coincides with further unrest within Hilm. They say that blood follows the demon of Leringard, but very few have actually seen the masked devil draw his sword- at least, few that are still living. One way or the other, he's returned to Belinara for a reason...

Hello ladies and gents, As you may have noticed Layonara's social media platforms have reawakened somewhat recently. Over the last year or so we have been learning about and exploring the usage of social media. It's possibility for growth, for developing more interactive options for the community and overall build of enjoyment of everyone who participates. There have been a lot of ideas and some have been cast aside. One thing is for sure however, social media is definitely something we want to pursue and think it will be useful to everyone who chooses to use these platforms. To this end we're going to officially announce our move forward with social media. We will be using Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to do a host of things ranging from quest promotion, rumor spreading (you know, the kind that happens IG, not ... that other stuff from RL *winks* ), announcements, and anything else fun we can think of. These three mediums are not the extent of our intentions but it's what we are starting out with for now. We will “soon” have compatible buttons for promoting things you like on the forums. Google+ has some options to us that we're still playing around with and we might rearrange some things as we go. Along with this we're going to put forward some incentives. At some specific goal markers we'll be offering the community special reward time periods as we achieve them. Our first goal is we'd like to have is an increased number of members on our fan groups. As of this posting Google+ (found here) has 12 members. As of this posting Twitter (@layonara) has 22 followers. As of this posting Facebook (found here) has 151 fans. When we reach 50 + users, 50 followers and 200 fans we'll celebrate with a double exp weekend. This is a test incentive. Other ideas are baking and we might just test them out sometime in the middle of our fan drive, and likely after we achieve these goals. So, if you'd like to add some dimension to your RP, use #layoquest, #layorumor or #layoRP (as appropriate) on any of the three formats to make it searchable to your fellow members. The hash tag commands will make your activities searchable, Twitter and Google+ allowing it to be found with one click. If you you have a jam-packed feeds and are curious if there's been any announcements you don't want to miss, search out #layonara. Want to put a shout out to your friends for a spur of the moment get together? Yep, you guessed it #layoLFG! Long running series are more than welcome to develop their own hashtag usages. Make sure you use the #layoquest marker as well to loop us all in as appropriate. Additionally, Gms will be using more of the social media formats to make announcements about their quests. That means we'll be retweeting (RT) and/or sharing information through our feeds to you. Alatriel has graciously allowed us to use her series as a tester for this and it seems to have gone over well. This will expand slowly over time as Gms grow more comfortable using this format. It is highly likely that quest tidbits or pre-quest work will be given out in this manner eventually. It is also likely that these formats will be utilized to alert players to impromptu or other special opportunities in game. Will we RT/Share stuff from players? It's possible! Perhaps we see a rumor that needs to spread a little further, some RP that needs a particular nod, or an idea we rather like. We will definitely be watching to see what you guys do with this. One of the neat concepts in social media is the virtually limitless ideas out there. We are really excited to see what you all do with it. ~row

Howdy from Texas! I used to be an avid NWN player back in middle school and loved the D&D based game dearly up until the point that my computor got struck by lighting and died around six years ago. My family purchased a Mac, rendering my old NWN Platinum Edition CD set for the PC useless and the years rolled by. I played World of Warcraft for a bit, but then my guild died and the game got old. I moved on to a local gaming group composed of some friends in high school, but then in the last couple of years we were forced to fragment due to differences in university choice. So here I am, after picking up a new copy of Neverwinter Nights Complete at a Walmart or something I have come back to what I fondly remember as one of the few great online roleplaying games where people actually roleplay effectively. I must warn you all that I am not the fastest typist in the world, nor am I a champion speller, but I hope that you will forgive me and that we will have some memorable times together. I've submitted my first character, Sterling Truesilver, who hopefully does not contain too much lorebreaking material in his biography and gets accepted soon. It'll be interesting starting out as a wimpy level one in such an established community, but hey, what can ya' do?

My apologies for my questers! I had some family issude that needed attending to following a death in the family. Had to run off for a bit since that and work were getting hectic. After much soul-searching and alone time, mostly via rum, X3, Risen 2 and other vices, feeling back up to running quests again and playing more in game. I will be at a big barbecue this weekend with friends and getting a haircut for a job search (dont worry, still employed, just looking to upgrade), but I should be back intot he flow of things this upcoming week. I intend on running the next installment of The Razorback Syndicate within the next week, 2 tops. ALSO! I noticed that I've been neglecting my CDQ queue quite a bit and for that I apologize! I noticed that they kept getting buried in PMs and tells, so I looked online and noticed that I never set up my CDQ request page propr! (tsk tsk Brew!) I have 3 in the queue now and have detailed what I need from you guys to send me to get these started. Please comment in the linked forum attachment so that I can address what your goals are, what you're looking for in a quest and I shall try to run at least one every other week. Visiting the Leringard Inn to flirt - harmlessly! - with Lily and scout out a time for a future LAndrew show, Andrew carts with him a selection of Sebair's latest offerings, having filled the Buckle with his Xeenite brewer's steadily increasing talents. He includes a number of bottles of Sebair's Black Knight.
Steel is out and the inn is quiet at just before noon. Bored...a very dangerous thing for a bard to be...he strolls into the kitchen as if he belongs there and pokes around, checking stock and inventory, tsking or nodding as he opens the drawers and cabinet doors. A wicked little smile quirks when he finds some special recipe cards stuffed behind empty bottles on a shelf and he takes note of the contents before putting them carefully, precisely back.
Being as he is there and bored, he shuffles inventory around and stocks the front bar from what is ready in the back. Sebair happens in during this time and a conversation on crazy elven women ensues, one that lifts the bard's spirits. Inserting one's self into a discussion of men between Calylith and Zari? Oh, Sebair, my friend. He has to mention that Zari LIKES him and still fireballs him if he doesn't move fast enough. Well, the redhead is young. He'll learn. Or die trying.
It is not without a grin that he sets Sebair loose in the Arms kitchen to make wine and Blue Sword Swill, both sadly represented in Steel's liquor cabinets right now, and not without a bigger grin that he flippantly says before leaving; "If a seven-foot-tall blue-skinned man with red hair and horns comes in and asks what the hells you are doing in his kitchen, blame me- I'm leaving in a few minutes anyway".
Sometimes, it's just plain fun to be him.

Alarm bells were sounded in Fiorez City and Siphe Castle prompting the formation of two battle groups within an hour that set off for the north western frontier of the fledgling nation when it was reported a column of soldiers was approaching from that direction. Leading the battle groups were the Sovereign Lord Jaedon Siphe himself accompanied by a now familiar figure in the region, Commander Daniella Stormhaven. It is reported that by the time they reached the border the column of soldiers had halted outside the territory and set up a white flag of truce. It seems that Sir Lance Stargazer had been ordered to lead a deputation to the Principality to speak personally with Lord Siphe on matters most urgent. Sir Lance's four score strong escort was made up of elite Hilmite Cavalry and a score of Toranite Cavalry still serving in Hilm. The situation was described as tense as Sir lance met Commander Daniella cordially and asked to speak with Jaedon Siphe alone, a request which was granted. A large pavilion was then set up into which the two well known figures entered. it is believed discussions on various matters are now taking place within, their content as yet unkown to those beyond the pavilions walls. Mind you this has done nothing to stop the speculations and suggestions that the Queen of Nesar has appointed a bride to be for the former Kuhl General in order to secure his position and that of his nation with Nesars support. Others wonder if a leading Toranite figure such as Sir Lance would be the bearer of tidings from s nation such as Nesar with their particular background.

Add to the list of cities, towns and nations suffering famine and crop failure the name of Hlint. The crops being brought in are not as plentiful as they should be. In fact some of the crops remaining in the field are now being harvested early as they are starting to wilt in the field.

The Rael Kingdom, affected by the recent crop failures, has made some logistical changes. It seems Rael has reassigned numerous wagons and convoys to to haul fish and seafood goods from its coastal cities to those cities starting to suffer shortages, such as Prantz. Wagons can be seen traveling from Raylyn, Seawatch Fort, and even Lor to Rael's non-coastal forts and cities. Also loads of odd mushrooms and fungi begin to make an appearance in the Prantz markets. While food prices rise and people are worried over certain shortages, many can be heard praising Lord Rael for his leadership, actions and compassion for the common citizen.
