Aussie Game Group Thread
« on: September 18, 2006, 12:18:04 am »
Calling All Aussie's, Kiwi's, And Friends in the GMT +9:00 timezone.

I am putting together a Friday Night game group.  The purpose of which is to have some planned adventure outings.  As Aussie players are (appear to be) few and farbetween it is difficult to get groups together, partiularly groups of high level chracters.  I know a few of us can make Friday night from AEST 2000hrs till 2400hrs, so this seems like a good day and time.  There are a few options for the group, High Level (15+), Mid Levels (10-14), Low Levels(9-), All New Characters (lvl 1).

I'll post first to get the list started.  Depending on the popular responses I will organise a calendar event with the appropriate roleplay hooks.

PS: If there are any Aussie epics I would be interested in your post!

My times are somewhat Aussie, GMT+12, I'd probably be online GMT 7.30am-11.30pm, not too sure what that'd be AEST but I think a few of those hours slot into the time you posted above. I'm tied up with RL things at the moment, but I should be able to make it on a friday evening.    Forum Name: Schmack  Bioware Name: om39a  Preferred Character Name: Rend Biggo  Classes and Levels of Preferred Character: Ranger-2, Cleric-4

Ok... it's confirmed... after 2 minutes of looking at the timers and figuring out the GMT +9 at 2000 AEST, and a few drinks after finding my wife is pregnant for round 3... I can not figure out what time that is.

I'm pretty sure I've just proven a sub-80 IQ.  And I'm breeding... ah I'm part of the problem I always complain about!

The viscious irony of self realization...

That would be 6am EDT and I'm not usually free until 7:30am, but I'd enjoy some RP adventuring.
Note that my PC is a non-contributor in battles and at his current level (12th factoring in ECL) he gets lower XP on East than Central. I say this because I don't feel it is OOC for him to travel with higher levels. It is completely IC for him to want to see more of the world as well as travel with the powerful of the lands.

Hahahahaha....Chongo, you're all over the shop.
I guess you're just caught up in the euphoria of number three on the way.

By the way PST is what happens after you had those drinks.

Best of luck.

Classes & Levels: Rogue 10 (ooooh, so close to 11)

Maybe levels 10-15? Doesn't seem too much of a level spread and then you could have Jin (stragen), Tarradon (Dezza), Mallok (Polak76), Arkolio (Me), Bumblebee (Pen n Popper) who at least have all travelled together in game as a core?

Oh yeah....Ark just wants his own personal cleric along  :p
But 9-15th sounds good to me too *winks back*
Joking aside I'll happily cope if that is considered too great a level spread.

Chongo that would be 0300hrs PST (3:00am) right now and after Daylight Savings rolls back it will be 0200hrs (2:00am)

I hope that helps :)

Ack!  That's 4 am here.  You crazy australians.

And it's round three unfortunately, not number 3... sorry to mislead.  Only 28, 3 kids would be pretty motivated, and you sure wouldn't see me online so much I'm guessing.  Good news is that the bloodwork found an easily treated clotting disorder that will probably help fix the problems from before.

Back to the point though... how soon is daylight savings?

Just had a thought -  as this is an Aussie gaming group should players be forced to recite the words to the second verse of our national anthem to prove their nationality?  *scratches head and tries to remember* Something about girt and toil?

It looks like mid-levels are most popular.  We will have about 3 level 15 characters in the Group, a level 13 and two level 10 characters.
[yellow]
Jin Lun Lee(Stragen) - 15
Alleina (Weeblie) - 15
Pendar (scotcar) - 15 {might not make it the first two weeks}
Tarradon Duvall (Dezza) - 13.
Bumbleebee (Pen&Pooper) 10 [12 with ECL].
Arkolio (Pseudonym) - 10
[/yellow]
All of who have interacted with Jin before, and should work well together (apart from Ark who is a true rogue and Ne'er-do-well).  I have setup an event this Friday as 8pm AEST.

Please sign up when you can.

As an alternative we can have a lower level group with,[yellow]
Jake Saltpetre (Stragen) - 8
Cherry Blossum (Dezza) - 8
Muireann (DMOE) - 8
Mallok (Polak76) - 8
Eric Ravenshair (scotcar) - 8[/yellow]
Arkolio and Bumbleebee and Rend Biggo would also be welcome additions to this group.

This looks like a nice destructive group, with two followers of the Lady Doom.  This could be a Wednesday group. Though I have found it is usually quick to put together low level groups in game.

Just a quick FYI...
As Geldar's player has got alot busier recently and Wednesday can be one of the days he get's online, don't count on a cleric every week because if he can make it online Ireth will be spending time with her betrothed and Muir will be caught up with Temple duties.
