Parade of homes
« on: October 10, 2006, 04:20:49 pm »
Oh A wild idea...

Has anyone ever thought of a trip that would include viewing PCs homes?  People do it all the time in RL...

Like for example what in the planes does Ozys house look like inside *shudders*, or any of the well established PCs? Arn't ya curious?

It could also let the guilds open their doors as well, an example:  I've been in the Orc Bashers and its a cool place, but its never really open to the public...

I've just been spending alot of time working on mine and would like to see what others have done with their houses.

Could be a tour with a little adventuring mixed in, I don't know, just a thought.

Obviously the homeowners would have to approve... *looks at the post below*

humm - start a parade . . . randomly barge into the homes of powerful individuals . . . find way out of Baator . . . yep - that would be an adventure :)

Most homes look like warehouses.....stuffed with crates all over and one Housing Portal with little else, so there isn't really much to see in most places.

I dunno , My characters homes have storage spaces but also a significant amount of space devoted to RP as a "real" home . Perhaps a parade of screenshots...

As I said, not all of them are devoted solely to storage :)

I too have most of my character's home set up for RP with one room for storage, the only things stopping me from fleshing it out more is the limit on placables and how big the house is.

I spent a LOT of time in touch with my inner Martha Stewart when it comes to the house Honora and Mikey live in; be glad to open it up for a tour.  It's nothing special but it IS large race friendly :P.

*grins*  Bjornigar's is actually pretty suave, everything's well lined up, orderly with a study a kitchen and a large foyer out front, most of the storage behind closed doors.  The funniest part though is Willy Catpaw's room, which has a little table and a chair with a book thrown into the corner from unsuccessful attempts teaching him how to read.  There's a bearskin rug beneath a large crate which reminds one of the wicked witch of the east who got squashed by Dorothy's house, and bunk beds, next to which there is a wee little Catapault so that Willy can launch himself up onto the top bunk.

The rest of the house is well decorated with fine items like a grand piano and a large study, upstairs is Bjorn's bedroom which is fairly spartan, an empty guest room and the naked-lady bathtub up the royal looking foyer, which has a Dorandite altar on the pedestal.

I was just in Ael's house for the first time, tons of chests but only in one section, but again he had places to sit and RP like a real house, fireplace, couches, tubs, etc...  everything was lined up nice.  It takes alot of time to do that stuff...

Maybe the thought above is right, a parade of screen shots...

Everyone worked real hard at their interiors, but we don't get to enjoy them nearly enough!

Id be up for showing it off at such an event too!

It looks kind of neat. Shame that he changed his keys on us. Sigh!

*points to his dusty inbox* If you want a key or a tour of the mediocer bard's home you can always contact him.

I'd be willing to go along with something pleasently silly like that.

Thanks.  It did take a lot of time but I enjoyed it.

One thing on which Milt and I are working is a series of dinners at Sahala's and Ael's place in Llast for small groups of 8-12 people at a time.  I mention this as a suggestion for using your property and showing it off.

Though if a "homes tour" materializes we may be interested in that as well.

As for screen shots of our interiors, I have plenty of them in Ael's old album.
