Stay Out Of The Broken Forest
« on: May 01, 2006, 05:37:43 pm »
~A Messege is Posted, in Large Clear Writing on the Board~

The Broken Forest is no longer a safe place. Please Keep Out.

The Grave has been disrupted, the forest has been destroyed and the site is no longer stable. Treants, Deadly Vine assasins, and Gods know what else roam that place. They will see through your invisibility spells. They are deadly. Do Not face them alone, Do not face them in groups.

Let this be your warning, and please heed it.

*maev walks in looking tired, reads rhynn's message and sighs deeply*

I have tried to clense that place, I  have tried. I fought them, I fought them valiently, Toran knows I've spilled much of my blood in that place.  Time to gather an army i guess.

*turns and walks briskly out*

... Seeing that the original message wasn't signed, Freldo adds ...

- Rhynn, Freldo and Remiel

PS. Freldo saw it first, does he, or we, get a bounty?

The lower half of a Treant's arm is below the letter, just resting on the ground as though it were firewood.

I seriously doubt an army will do much good in the broken woods.  My personal belief, and mind you it is conjecture, is that Xora is some how responsible for this.   I apologize if I am making false accusations here, but I believe that this hypothesis should be investigated.

Xora passed through Hint recently.  She was looking for Rhyzome and Triba.  She said to tell them, “We have a pool to dive into.”  I talked to some people, and it seems likely that she is referring to a blood pool.  If *strong emphasis* she entered a blood pool, then perhaps the broken forest is a symptom of a larger problem.  If  *strong emphasis* this is true, then perhaps there is a better way of dealing with this problem then using hack and slash methods in the broken woods.

Plen passes by the note and opens his eyes widely about the message from Xora, then he begins to shake his head, before tapping his quill in some ink.

Shadow was buried in the Broken Forest, that is who was in this grave.  He has left this world, and in doing so left his love who was at least able to communicate to him through the grave up until a recent point.  Selian never accepted the sacrifice Shadow made to keep the Silver Veign safe and now that she can not even communicate with him, well she is very furious...

The Broken Forest has felt her wrath... be wary of this tortured and lost of the Seven Sisters.  Lucinda may not even have the strength to bide her now.

-Plenarius Ashaley

*he thinks to himself* Now what is this about Xora and a pool... hmm.  *he heads off to find Triba and Rhizome*

*Coming out of her room in the Wild Surge, feeling quite under the weather indeed, she looks upon the note to see if anything has changed. Her eyes take in mainly the words of Plenarius, finally understanding (Atleast more than she did) About the secret of the grave in the Broken Forest. She vows to talk to Brisbane, Rhizome , Triba, or Plen himself to learn more.

On the note she scribes*

I am wishing to learn more about Shadow, Selian, and the Seven sisters, if one can explain this to me , or tell me where I can read of it, I would be very thankful.

*she goes back into her room for more rest, coughing slightly*

So once again my greatest failure comes back to haunt me.  Some still think her good?  She is little better than our enemy at times, not caring how much greif she causes others as long as she gets what she wants.

*Zandor walks into the inn sets his axe down at a table and gets a drink then looks over to the wall see whats new when he comes across this note*

"Hmmmmm well look like I know were im going in the days ahead".

*dips his quill in some ink from his bag*
Just from what I have seen when it comes te notes that say "Stay Away" or "Stay Out" it only keeps all but the bold from going te the area. And from what I have seen of the lads and lasses here most of them be bold *smiles* so in other words its more of an invation te go and see whats going on, not that that is bad or anthing. *smiles* I like te know what is going on in other parts of the worlds. Im just saying if ye dont want people te be going in there dont make it sound like and invation *smiles* o and thanks fer the warning *smiles*

*sets his bottle down with a few gold coins to pay for the ale, grabs his axe and as he is walking out of the inn he places the note under the warning*

*Creighton enters, limping slightly and favoring his left arm, his muscles still aching from his earlier battles in the Broken Forest; his skin still feeling the burn of the vines.  He spots the note as he's searching the room.  Seeing the heading and remembering his day so far, he reads it over quickly, his eyebrows raising with the new knowledge he's gained.  A determined set crosses his features, and, with his good arm, he grasps the symbol of Toran hanging about his neck and his eyes turn to the ceiling*

Soon *mutters*  Soon, by Toran, I and others loyal to the cause of good will have the strength...

      ...then let this evil beware.

*kisses the symbol, glances about the room for a certain face, and, not finding it, shuffles painfully out the way he came*

*staggers up to the message board blood dripping from several wounds and tacks up a small note*

Only the fool hardy will venture there now.  Tis instant death.

*the note has blood droplets dotting it*

*Gel'larian walks in and frowns deeply at the foreboding messages on the wall*

"This sounds like a brewing crisis", he says to himself.

*Takes some parchment and quill out of his pack and writes...*

Perhaps the best and bravest need to some up with a permanent solution to this problem.  I propose that we heroes of this monumental age band together and get to the bottom of this near calamity.  Please contact Gel'larian Windsbreath if you feel the same.

*He puts away his quill, posts the note and sighs*

*walks into the Inn boredly, checking the messege for updates. She pulls out a peice of parchment from her pack and adds the following words directly under the last messege*

Until You know the full story behind the Forest Sir or Miss, I think it would be rash for you, or anyone to make any plans to undo it. Even those who know are hesitant to act....Aye, Indeed there  must be something one can do, but we have yet to decide on what.

*quickly jots down a short note*

An unmarked grave with a deep hole is located slightly North of the center of the Forest. What came from this hole?

*walks in tiredly, seeing the new messege, she sighs heavily, dips her quill into some ink, and scribes*

That grave has always been there, but was only recently dug up.

It belongs to Shadow. If you want the fullstory, seek me out (ask around, I'm sure enough poeple know me by now) and I'll tell you what I know or lead you in the direction of someone that knows more...

*sighing again, she pulls her hood up over her head, assembles her crossbow and bolts, and heads outward*
