Hello,

Me and my son were looking at our character in Lore and it seems you basically average 1 SS loss per ten deaths. Out of 8 characters we have ALL were around 1 SS loss per 10 deaths with two lucky exceptions.

Examples: Chaynce (level 19) 99 deaths 9 SS losses (2 SS returned due to GPs), Urick Stonebreaker (level 9) 20 deaths 2 SS losses, Green (level 7) 10 deaths 1 SS loss, Alton Tealeaf (level 10) 19 deaths 2 SS losses

Exceptions: Tyrian (level 19) 164 deaths 7 SS losses (2 returned from GPs), Laaren Lemeele (level 10) 37 deaths 1 SS loss.

Anyhow, we figured if you don't die more than 9 times total you can reach level 40 with NO SS losses!

No idea if this is useful, just our observations!

That actually works out perfectly for me... strange.
Keppli has 60 deaths and 6 SS's lost.

Same here, except for ty and feh who have greatly improved those odds as of the last few months, but yes if you checked my other chars, that would be right.

I guess you're saying 10% is the magic number (1ss for every 10 deaths). Well Tralek has been pretty unlucky then...he's at 17% and that includes the use of two GP's. Hopefully this means that his number will gravitate toward the 10% number as he continues on

I guess I'm part of the lower percentage where they have more SS than 10% of their total deaths! Tod has 59 deaths and 9 SS.

A real analysis of this would also have to include death distribution by level. To average one SS lost per ten deaths, statistically (in a sample population larger than two, that is), you'd have to be dying more frequently in the lower levels, and less frequently in the upper levels, with the fulcrum resting on the actual 10% chance at level 10.

Kyle went from 1-14 (including the 'vacation' the Soul Mother took) before he lost his first...then from 14-21 he lost 7...(took SMD so he's got 8 left).

Guess that skews the average a bit...

It's all the luck of the draw, there's a level 30+ character with 59 deaths that only lost 1 SS on the server.

Im not sure exactly how many deaths Shadowlef has had, its been way over 10 though.. If I had to take guess at the # ID say somewhere in like 15-20.

IM 10th level and have 0 SS lost so far....

Now If I could just have this luck transer over to our state's lottery...then I wouldnt care how many SS I lost, cause I would be able to play 24/7!

My Boon Loom Character have 74 deaths and 13 ss. He is lvl 29. Out of his last 6 deaths he got 4 ss.. So from being quite confiden't by only having 9 dt he got 4 more in just a couple of weeks..

So if there is an lvl 30+ on the server with only 1 ss lost it seems to be a little unfair... lol..

Well, let's see...
Drexia has died 68 times and lost 7 SS (plus two that were reimbursed.
Pallena has died 29 times and lost 3 SS (plus two that are/will be reimbursed)
Gurnorhn has died 7 times and lost 0 SS

So, it looks like my characters are right in line with your theory :-)

100 deaths
10 token and permed.

Eslar is
22 deaths

93 deaths
8 token

Xian shu is
3 deaths
0 token

Tyillaan is
18 deaths

Wren Thendor
119 Deaths (over 51 months = .5 deaths a week for more then 4 years. As a fighter, you cant say that is NOT being careful)
13 SS lost (2 GPs used already for SS returns)

NOTE: I guess I should add that over the four plus years there has been more hours of playtime then I can count
