Hello everyone. Here is just a small hi bye from one of the old dwarven players. Some might remember me as the dwarf Varka Cleaveson. I thought I might drop a few lines to Layo as I did to Harlas. Naaaayy. Since I stopped I always kept around though. Reading about what is going on in general but also keeping an eye on layos dwarven players. It has been and it is still fun seeing how Layo develops. I guess some of the other old players do the same thing. (If so just give a thumps up guys). So, how is everyone doing in there? I can see that there is a few new WL around and that the Torans are starting a new group (every good initiative). Are there other new initiative like that? Did some make a nice exotic group like mix of orcs, deep dwarves and dark elves? And where are the treehuggers? What about the dwarves! How does it look there? I follow roughly the submissions and character developments. That is all for now. Take care in there and have fun!

Hello people
As the title says, I am leaving Layonara. The reasons. Well where to begin and end.
One of the major reason are I have got a new job and it is awesome. It is what I have been dreaming about for so long and now I finally have it. I got the contract and 1. of March I will begin.
It will be great but I will have to work hard and I am willing to do so but that has consequences. I have therefore decided to stop playing Layonara (among other things).
I would like to thank everyone that I have played with the last few years, the team, GM and Leanthar. It has been great.
A special thank goes to Dezza who ran my cdqs and to Milton for helping me with the biography of Varka (see halls of Heroes).
And a special thank goes to the group attending on my last cdq.
I wish everyone in here the best and keep the RP high on Layonara. Layonara is about the RP and there is no other online game that can match it.

Layo people going on vacation On layo I often read about layo players inviting other players just to come by if are going on vacation in the area. Which I see as very positive. I found a webpage long ago, which I believe can be an inspiration to you guys. Take a look. CouchSurfing

WL and wands
WL gets a few wands that they can use in the game. These are given to the player because he/she shows and plays with good intentions.
And because she/he passed the WL quest.
What if a WL player has more characters? Would it be right to hand out a set of wands to each character the player has?
Comments why and why not please?
Consider administration load, low level with wands, more RP rewards to low level characters which are not running aroun with plus 20 level characters etc etc
PS: As I dont know where to put it, I hope some from the Team can place this post in the right forum.

Yeah well, RL sometimes bothers you especially on layonights. :\\ but there is not much I can do about it.

Dwarven Rune magic. Does it exist?
I was thinking about it the other day and wanted to hear what are the rules on Layo.
I know there is something from Kobals Clan but how should one handle it? I am thinking from a Voraxian point of view?
Further can PC play it? Meaning making a ..erhhm maybe a Cleric, sorcerer, smith of Vorax?

Hello players of Layonara.
Around 4 to 5 months ago there was a post from old and new player asking about WL and what they had done. There was a lot of talk going forth and back if one could read about their achievements. I decided that I would reveal my story to everyone and hope that the ones reading it will simply see it as a good story and consider what would your own character know of this (and not meta game it).
As in all tales, some events has been spiced a bit up and some cut short. Further again it all depends on who would have told you the story, A halfing bard or a voraxian Liberian.
As the history about Prantz was changed some time ago, I had to correct my tale which meant I removed a lot. I still hope though what is written will be accepted by the Team.
Further the 2 page I had to make the tale about Varka; well it became more and therefore I put it here instead.
The team is welcome to use whatever they want from the story of Varka in the coming handbook. I will not claim the following to be mine.
Lastly, I will thank Miltonyorcastle for the most impressive work I have ever seen. He was the editor on this story and has spent hours and hours correcting it until it became perfect.
I simply wrote the story but Miltonyorcastle gave it life!
Once more thank you a lot Miltonyorcastle.

My WL items special ability 1/day does not work properly.
When activating the special ability, it should both affect the item holder and the group/party.
The WL item does affect the wearer as programmed.
The WL item has no affect on the group/party at all.
