Mangus walks into a nondescript house in Vehl where the women of the poor, make do as best as they can to help manage the dark destinies of innocent children who otherwise have nothing, and no one to care for them. Ever short on resources, they survive on a patchwork of scraped together supplies, always shortest on the list: food. The nourishment the children need, can sometimes be the furthest from reach. And Mangus knows this.
He knows this place well. He spent his early childhood there. He knows the feeling of hunger the children all share, and the plainly visible desperation in the faces of the women who work tirelessly to care for them. More troubling to him, he knows the carelessness with which the city, and the world around that place, regard it. To them, it is unseen, barely noticed, forgotten. They pass by that house on their way to some duty of such greater importance, as if it wasn’t even there. It is not even scenery to them. And Mangus was that; the element they didn’t see. Some horrible distraction, to be avoided, and ignored. But his youthfulness and ignorance shielded him from such stark realities, and his constant hunger, gave him something else to focus on.
Although, he was one of the lucky ones. As he looks back on those days, he realizes he did not grasp the importance of his fortune, until much later in life, and so much of it, he doesn’t remember at all.
But he does remember the moment a woman walked through that door carrying a bag and asking for the whereabouts of Mangus Clawfoot. It was the day he met his grandmother, the day, he received a fighting chance, the day he became Mangus Crunch. And that stayed with him. Along with it, he maintained a keen regard for the greater importance for any one of those children, to also receive a fighting chance. And as he gained his footing with the help of his grandmother, he developed a broader commitment to that cause. He made a vow to himself, and no one else, that, when he could help, he would.
And on this day, he enters that nondescript dwelling in Vehl with a bag in his hand, and sets it on the counter. A woman there looks up at him almost alarmed. His disposition is very imposing to her.
He regards her gently, and speaks in a soft voice.

*Mangus comes marching into the shop, trips on a shoelace, and falls flat on his face. He gets up, shakes himself off, bits and pieces of blood and debris fall to the floor from some unknown creature who’s blood is still dripping off of his club *

*Brutus Clawfoot find himself awake at once deep in the bowels of a forgotten dungeon. With a terrible gasp of hideous Half-Orc breath, he yelps and lands in to a vague and rough consciousness.*
Huh?
*He looks around, bewildered and in a funk. He is slow to shake off the thick muck of too many years lost to the either. The dungeon walls are closed all around him. His new awareness is muzzled by his complete isolation. Modern devices such as iPads and EE versions, are of no concept to his existence. Only the four walls of his personal dungeon have any relevance. He stares into the darkness quieted by his predicament. Then suddenly there is a flash of blue light that blinds him temporarily. The light remains in a circle of energy and promise.*
What the...?
What’s dat? Some kinda portal? Er wonders what’ll happen if Er goes walk’n in to it?

Mangus, Still seated at the bar with Grog gives Grog a look of excitement, at the mention of where-rats although, privately he wonders if Grog, like so many of the other Orc's he has met in his travels since leaving his grandmother and the human populated village he grew up in, was familiar with the Orc delicacy, smoked were-rat and squash soup. He doesn't actually mention it to Grog fearing that Grog may not be familiar with it, and like so many people he has met in his travels, Grog may be repulsed by it. Regardless, Mangus is reminded fondly of the flavor of smoked where-rat and squash soup. He can almost see his human grandmother preparing it. Chopping up the large orange pumpkin, in to little bits, skinning the were-rate, pre-frying the onions and other seasonings in pig fat. He, himself, would secretly have preferred she'd have not skinned the creature, some interworking of his being prefers to eat the thing with its hair on, but he enjoyed her recipe, and found himself missing it.

Mangus returns quickly with 76 ingots of platnum values at 200T each Giving him 15,200 + 3813 =19013T in Credit. "Er'm look'n to git's me some Mithril armor! Er'm save'n up me credits so's Er kin git's me dat Mithril armor!" He say's then leaves.
