RP101 / RP Q&A ?
«

In ages past
we had a few RP101 sessions, where a few GMs would explain about RP and have an extensive Q&A session.
I was wondering if there would be interest in reinstating these (and maybe some players could help us out and host one together with a GM).

EdtheKet,
If I may suggest, that GM's randomly pop in with a NPC or a group of them and interact with the people in Hlint and such like. The other night we had a NPC come in and interacted briefly with a Mistite cleric who responded appropriately.
People learn by example. Especially when it comes to dice rolls and how to respond. There are a few people in the community that has pointed things out to me and put me in the right direction and they still do. I won't name them here but they know who they are.
I would be happy to play some of my characters. I know a certain halfling that is eagerly waiting to open her mouth. :p

I would be interested in attending/giving advice/cohosting and learning as well. One can never stop learning (I only recently learned what forced emoting was myself). Any time really that I'm not in school is good for me, Ill answer any and all questions, so sure, sounds great.

I think the idea here is to have an OOC meeting to discus RP related topics right? hehe maybe do some short skits. I'd so host one of these that sounds like fun.
*goes off to make up short scenarios to make PCs act out*

I'd support it in any way I could. It was a good idea then, and a good idea now. I remember IDii and I used to host a Crafting QnA thing as Dorand and Deliar.

Correct!
And nice idea on the short scenarios as examples to act out.

I would attend to both ask questions and possibly offer advice, and I would be willing to help host one.
Also, I'd be willing to write short "Example scenarios" for a host to use as curriculum for a session.

I loved the first session I remember when I was a player. It was very informative and I think it helped a lot of people. Later, as a GM, I myself ran a session. In fact, I think it was the last one run if I recall. A lot of people got quite a bit out of it and I'm sure many people would both enjoy and benefit from another.

I marked the "Interested in all the 'Yes' Options". So count me in to help out in any way I can - or just to sit in and listen.
